Grief Circle — Remembering Love, From Darkness to Light
Grief Circle — Remembering Love, From Darkness to Light
**A sacred space to honor sorrow, release pain, and remember love** At Yanantin Tribe, we open grief circles where heart, body, and spirit can meet. Inspired by ancestral traditions, we gather in community to carry what was never meant to be held alone. Here, darkness and light are both welcome — grief is not fixed or rushed, but witnessed with care. A grief ritual is a communal gathering where sorrow is given space and form. We welcome all expressions of grief: personal loss, heartbreak, ancestral wounds, collective pain, or a quiet heaviness without a clear name. Through music, song, rhythm, movement, silence, and guided ritual, grief softens and reveals the love beneath it. **Bring: comfortable clothes, water bottle and your own cup for tea, curiosity** This is a free community offering. If you feel called to support the continuation of these grief circles, you can choose the **Support Ticket — CHF 25** via Eventfrog. Thank you for supporting this work. **The experience** * Enter a safe, held circle where all emotions are welcome * You may share, move, cry, sing, or remain silent — no pressure to speak * Place a personal item, photo, or symbol on a shared altar (optional) * Move through ritual practices that allow grief to be witnessed and released * Close with grounding and gentle integration so you leave supported **Why this circle matters** * Release unspoken or long-held grief * Be held without advice or fixing * Honor both sorrow and love * Heal personal, ancestral, and collective layers Tickets & Support This grief circle is offered freely as a community space. If you wish to support the continuation of these circles, you can choose the Support Ticket — CHF 25 via Eventfrog. 🎟️ Tickets & details: [https://eventfrog.ch/en/p/health-spirituality/health-wellbeing/grief-circle-remembering-love-from-darkness-to-light-7417590471009010657.html](https://eventfrog.ch/en/p/health-spirituality/health-wellbeing/grief-circle-remembering-love-from-darkness-to-light-7417590471009010657.html) **Practical info** * Held every two weeks on Sundays * Free to attend as a community offering * Donations welcome to support the continuation of these circles (entirely optional) * Bring: a token, photo, or personal item for the altar (optional) * Wear: comfortable clothing * Note: if you are in acute crisis or experiencing significant mental health challenges, please inform us so we can support you best * Impressions of past events: [https://yanantintribe.com/events-gallery/](https://yanantintribe.com/events-gallery/) **Additional support** András offers 1:1 grief support, death & dying accompaniment, and end-of-life presence alongside this community work: [https://psysoul.com/death-grief-sessions](https://psysoul.com/death-grief-sessions) This is not therapy. Mama cacao, Mindful experience. A Ritual for soulful connections.
Mama cacao, Mindful experience. A Ritual for soulful connections.
Recent research shows that meaningful human connections are a fundamental pillar of health and longevity. Studies consistently link strong social bonds with lower stress, reduced inflammation, and a longer, healthier life—highlighting that beyond diet and exercise, the quality of our relationships plays a decisive role in our overall well-being. This gathering is an invitation to nurture what science now recognizes as essential: authentic human connection. Twice a year, under the full moon, Mama Cacao opens an intimate circle at Kraftwerk Zürich. A carefully curated experience where ceremonial cacao, conscious connection, live music, and plant-based cuisine come together to create space for real encounters. This is not networking. This is remembering how to meet — slowly, honestly, and from the heart. Participants are guided through a cacao circle and meditation, conscious sharing, and small-group conversations, from gentle openings to deeper, more vulnerable exchanges. Live music flows throughout the evening, guided by JKson, accompanied by Facu (percussion & charango) and Diogo (keys), creating a living soundscape that supports presence and expression. An Open Heart Mic moment invites a few voices to share songs born from truth rather than performance. The evening then unfolds naturally around a vegan buffet prepared by Nomads Zürich, allowing connections to deepen freely over food and conversation. Held in an intimate setting of 10 to 25 participants, this experience is ideal for anybody looking to meet new, like-minded people: expats, newcomers to Zürich, creatives, artists, leaders, professionals, and curious souls seeking meaningful connection in a safe and refined space. ### What to Expect * Intimate circle * Guided cacao ceremony, meditation, and conscious sharing * Guided group conversations, unfolding from ease and curiosity into honest depth * Live music and conscious jam throughout the evening * Open Heart Mic for heartfelt songs * Vegan buffet by Nomads Zürich * Safe, inclusive, yet exclusive space for presence and connection ### Who It's For * Local residents of Switzerland who wish to rediscover the art of connecting beyond the superficial * Foodies, good food lovers * Expats and newcomers to Zürich * Creatives, artists, and musicians * Professionals, conscious leaders, and entrepreneurs * Curious souls seeking authentic human connection ### Event Details **February 1, 2026 – Love & BondsLocation:** Kraftwerk Zürich **Time:** Sunday, 17:30 – 21 **Participants:** 10–25 For those who wish to participate in the Open Heart Mic, please bring everything you need, and if you have any questions, reach us at **[info@mama-cacao.ch](mailto:info@mama-cacao.ch)**. The food will be vegan. If you have any allergies, please let us know as soon as possible by writing to **[info@mama-cacao.ch](mailto:info@mama-cacao.ch)**. ### What to Bring: ### Your Presence Matters To fully embrace this intimate gathering, we invite you to bring more than objects—bring your heart, your curiosity, and your willingness to connect. **Bring with you:** * **An open mind** – Release expectations and judgments. Allow yourself to explore the evening as it unfolds. * **A warm heart** – Be ready to listen, share, and support others with genuine care. * **Curiosity and courage** – Step into conversations you might not usually have; allow vulnerability to guide you. * **Your authentic self** – No roles, no performance—just your truth, however it may appear. * **A willingness to connect deeply** – Be prepared to engage with new people, share stories, and embrace moments of real human presence. * **Playfulness and openness** – Bring lightness to balance depth; laughter, smiles, and small gestures are welcome. **Optional, but powerful:** * **Your song, story, poem, or voice** – If the moment calls for it, step into the Open Heart Mic and share something from your soul. **Additional items to bring:** * A water bottle to stay hydrated * An offering for the cacao spirits (flowers, tobacco, nuts, seeds, or fruits) * Dress to feel **connected and comfortable** Please fast for at least two hours before the gathering to deepen your connection. Step into this sacred space, and allow the vibrations of prayer, music, and movement to guide you toward unity, self-expression, and profound healing. ### Important Health Information If you are taking antidepressants, have a serious heart condition, are pregnant, have high blood pressure, epilepsy, or any other medical concerns, please contact us before the event. ### Meet the Facilitators **Nomads Zürich**Nomads creates food as a space for connection. COLD WATER PLUNGE
COLD WATER PLUNGE
Welcome cold lovers! We have been practising cold water plunges for over 4 years. We believe in the benefits of cold water exposure. The feeling you get after the swim is magnificent, it makes you feel alive. We have started this group to safely experience the cold water together. We motivate each other, do active warmup exercises, and also share our life stories with a warm coffee/tea afterwards. The event is every Sunday at 11:30, we meet at the Mythenquai Badi entrance no matter the weather. Take along: a large towel, comfortable bathing suit, flip-flops, and warm clothes (hat, gloves, etc). If you’re planning swimming out take along a bright swim buoy. The event is Free. IMPORTANT: Every participant takes responsibility for themselves when attending this event. Before attempting cold water exposure, individuals with health conditions (e.g., heart problems or hypertension) should seek advice from a healthcare professional. Safely acclimating the body to cold temperatures requires preparation and gradual exposure.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Compensation Data
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Compensation Data
**People Analytics 101: Making Sense of Compensation Data** Compensation data is one of the most widely used and widely misunderstood forms of people analytics. The session will cover where compensation data comes from, including market pricing data, internal payroll data, and benchmarking sources, and how companies think about structuring and analyzing that information. We will explore how compensation data is leveraged to set salary ranges, manage internal equity, support hiring and retention, and align pay with business strategy. A portion of the session will address common data challenges and limitations, such as market noise, inconsistent job matching, and incomplete datasets, while keeping the primary focus on practical use rather than technical depth. The session will also look ahead at where the space is going, including the growing impact of pay transparency laws, expanding pay equity requirements, and emerging regulations in the US and Europe that require organizations to report on gender and pay gaps. The goal is to give attendees a clear mental model for how compensation analytics works today and why getting it right is becoming increasingly critical. (note: we are back at Rev1 this month!) **About Our Speaker** [Alex Moore](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexscottmoore/) is the founder of [Moore Cooperative](https://moorecooperative.com/), where he advises organizations on compensation strategy, pay equity, and people analytics. His work focuses on helping organizations like the Ohio Supreme Court design, analyze, and communicate compensation systems that are data-informed, defensible, and aligned with organizational goals. Alex lives in Granville, Ohio and has three little kiddos. More info at [cbusdaw.com](https://cbusdaw.com)

AI Development Risk Case Studies and how Agentic AI is the future of Appsec
AI Development Risk Case Studies and how Agentic AI is the future of Appsec
OWASP is ending use of Meetup, so I built an eventbrite for the event. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ai-development-risk-case-studies-and-how-agentic-ai-is-the-future-of-appsec-tickets-1981450622150?aff=oddtdtcreator AI is transforming how software is designed, developed, and deployed, dramatically accelerating velocity while introducing new categories of risk. As organizations adopt AI-assisted coding, autonomous agents, and increasingly complex model interactions, traditional application security approaches struggle to keep pace. This talk examines emerging AI-driven risks through real case studies from the field, highlighting issues such as insecure code generation, data-leakage pathways, model manipulation, and evolving supply-chain threats. We will explore how engineering teams must adapt their people, processes, and governance models to secure AI-augmented development workflows effectively. The session will then introduce agentic AI as the next evolution in application security—autonomous systems capable of continuous analysis, multi-step reasoning, and real-time remediation. Attendees will learn how combining agentic AI with modern practices can reduce developer friction, improve coverage, and create a future-ready application security strategy designed for the demands of AI-native software development

Agenda: **5:00 PM EST**: Online and in-person meeting begins with a social hour. This is an unstructured hour where you can join us to catch up and meet other group members before the session starts. There will be food brought in for in-person attendees. **6:00 PM EST**: Updates and announcements, followed by our feature presentation. See below for presentation details. **7:30 PM EST**: Optionally after the main presentations, the in-person crowd may go out for snacks and drinks at a local establishment. We hope to see you there! Session Abstract **No Map Required: Geospatial Analytics Directly in Your Data Warehouse** Think geospatial analysis requires specialized GIS software? Think again. This session introduces you to shapefiles and spatial operations right inside your database—no mapping application required. We'll demystify shapefiles (what they are, how they work, and where to get them) and show you how nearly every modern database —from DuckDB to Snowflake, supports spatial operations. You'll see practical demos covering spatial joins, distance calculations, and how to determine if two shapes interact with each other. Whether you're a data engineer optimizing delivery routes, an analyst aggregating metrics by geography, or a BI developer building location-aware dashboards, this session will show you how to unlock powerful spatial capabilities already built into your database stack—no specialized tools required. \*Please note, that we will be using Microsoft Teams for the online portion of this meeting. You may want to join a few minutes early to ensure you do not have any issues. If you are attending in person, there are large TVs at the office, and you do not need to bring a laptop or use Teams.
CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.

Columbus Code & Coffee 83 @ Improving
Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you! **What to Expect at the Intro Circle** \~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~ Near the beginning of the event (1:30 pm), we do a standup: * Organizer announcements, updates, and logistics Round 1 - (7 secs max): * Your name * What you're working on * What you can help others with Round 2: * Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too. Round 3: * Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool. After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Feel free to work alone, pair up, attend one of our workshops/presentations, or mingle!
