**Cutting Clutter, Planting Intentions**
Spring is nature’s ultimate reset button. As the earth sheds the frost to make room for new growth, it invites us to do the same. But before you can plant something new, you usually have to clear out the weeds. What mental clutter is taking up space in your head right now, and what do you actually want to cultivate in your life?
Join us in the cozy, backyard of a lovely local bookshop for a warm, friendly, and hands-on afternoon. Through a series of collaborative writing and drawing activities, we will explore ways to dust off the winter cobwebs and map out our intentions.
Then, we'll get practical. We’ll be decorating plant pots with personal intentions, before filling them with soil and planting real plants. You'll leave the bookshop with a tangible, living reminder of what you’re choosing to grow this season.
Whether you want to dive a bit deeper or just have some fun—all are welcome.
Get ready to experiment, play, meet others, and have fun!
All materials will be provided.

Ci ritroviamo ogni venerdì dalle 18:00 per un bicchiere (si può anche mangiare) da Poppy's Bar, che si trova a 2 minuti di camminata da Parvis St Gilles. Un tavolo per 20 persone è riservato sotto il nome di Salvatore. Dunque, se non ci sono o se sarò in ritardo, potrete chiedere al barista. È un incontro informale, perché non è un evento strutturato, ma piuttosto un gruppo di persone che si riuniscono per parlare e praticare l'italiano.
Anche i nativi italiani sono benvenuti :) Tutto ciò che serve è un sorriso — e puoi anche portare un amico!

Anchored by the comforting, rich warmth of ceremonial cacao, we will create a grounding space to help you land safely back in your physical body. From this place of deep, earthy coziness, we’ll use gentle rhythm to invite in a sense of lightness and simple, child-like play.

* **18:55** – Doors close (to ensure a safe, uninterrupted container, no entry after this time)
* **19:00** – Ritual begins
The experience unfolds in a carefully held and progressive way:
* **Welcoming & arrival** Grounding into the space and the group
* **Breathing and somatic practices** To calm the nervous system and prepare the body
* **Guided cacao ritual** Drinking ritual-grade cacao, prepared with intention accompanied by a gentle guided meditation
* **Conscious dance** Allowing insights and emotions to move through the body while connecting to the joy
* **Drum meditation** A deep, rhythmic journey to support inner clarity and emotional release
* **Closing circle** Integration, sharing (optional), and grounding before returning to daily life
No previous experience with cacao ceremonies, meditation, or dance is required.
🤎 About the Cacao
The cacao used in this ceremony is:
* 100% pure, ritual-grade cacao
* ethically sourced
* all ingredients used are vegan
* prepared slowly and mindfully, with intention for the process and the group
Cacao is not a psychedelic substance. Its effects are subtle, heart-opening, and grounding.

Join us for a full day of collaborative work at HSBXL! This event is open to everyone who enjoys working in a community environment, whether you're advancing on business ventures, freelance projects, or creative endeavors. During this **8-hour co-working event**, you'll have the opportunity to work on your project, ask for feedback, offer help to others, and if you wish, share your achievements at the end of the day.
**Please Note**: While HSBXL has multiple rooms for various purposes, this coworking event is taking place in the main room. It's important to note that online meetings should be avoided during this event to prevent noise disturbance and to maintain a conducive work environment for everyone.

Please bring your laptop, and if you have, an extension cord. The space has WiFi, but having your own internet backup solution can also be useful.

Photoresk at Zinneke Parade: Brussels street photography walk + social
Join Photoresk for a relaxed afternoon of street photography at the Zinneke Parade in Brussels. We meet in front of Café Metteko before the parade, photograph together for about two hours, then come back for a drink and chat.
The Zinneke Parade returns to the centre of Brussels on Saturday 30 May 2026, and it is exactly the kind of colourful, surprising city moment that is fun to photograph together.
We will meet at 14:30 in front of Café Metteko, Boulevard Anspach 88, 1000 Brussels.
The parade starts at 15:00. The different Zinnodes move through the centre in a loop, so from one good spot on the route we should be able to see the full parade between 15:00 and 17:00.

Ideal Cities
What would make a city "ideal"? The answer(s) might first appear on the surface (excuse the pun) to be a no-brainer: thriving, prosperous, clean, safe, energizing yet relaxing, beautiful, affordable, etc ...
However, as we further unpack and explore all these factors, we might soon begin to see that the answer(s) may not be that simple after all - not only considering the reality of limited resources (not enough money or energy - or surface area - to realize all visions, therefore choices have to be made), but also confronting the reality that each decision made will have implications on the whole system, as every element in a city both influences and requires all others.
Inspired by Plato's *Republic,* one approach to answer the question "What is an ideal city?" could be to compare this question with the question, "What is an ideal human being?" If there might be *many* types of ideal cities or human beings, what properties (again, excuse the pun!) would they all have in common?
Each city should best of course be studied in the context of its particular history, geography, climate, ecosystem, economics, culture etc. How have cities optimized (achieving differing degrees of success) their natural advantages while compensating for their vulnerabilities?
What type(s) of people would be the ideal cities' inhabitants and visitors?
How homogeneous or heterogeneous should a city be to both flourish and function optimally? (cf. meetup topic of 7/11/2020). In which ways should its citizens behave uniformly and in which ways diversely?
Should architecture and urban design be used to promote social/political/ethical behaviour?
How would *social* navigation ("networking" and maintaining ties) in our city operate? What sorts of infrastructure and urban culture would facilitate thriving interactions?
How can city and nature be best reconciled?
How should our cities deal with climate change and function sustainably?
Where do we go from now? What lies in the future for our cities in the world today?
At the micro level...
What would your ideal city look like?
(For example - just 1 out of hundreds of possible questions - how high should its highrises be?)
What would be the ideal size of geographical area that we would consider to be our "home territory" i.e. the amount of earth surface area that we move upon during an average day/week/month of our living?
