Check in for Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse - Online
A calm, low-key space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself alongside others who understand.
The **Queenâs Rise Circle Survivor Check-In** is a gentle, bi-weekly gathering created for women healing from narcissistic, emotionally harmful, or difficult relationships.
This is not therapy or a formal workshop. It is a supportive community space where survivors can come exactly as they are. Some weeks you may want to share. Other weeks you may simply listen. Both are welcome here.
Together, we focus on small steps forward, emotional grounding, and rebuilding confidence in a safe and respectful environment.
This space is survivor-led and trauma-aware, grounded in empathy, respect, and confidentiality.
### Who this is for
This check-in is suitable for anyone who:
⢠Is healing after a narcissistic or toxic relationship
⢠Feels emotionally overwhelmed or isolated
⢠Wants connection without pressure or judgement
⢠Is looking for consistent, gentle support between workshops or coaching
You do **not** need to be at a particular stage of healing to attend.
### What this space is not
⢠Not group therapy or crisis support
⢠Not a place for advice-giving or fixing others
⢠Not a space for confrontation or debate
It is simply a supportive circle for reflection, encouragement, and community.
### What to bring
Just yourself. Tea, notebooks, and comfortable energy encouraged.
There is no requirement to share if you are not ready. You are welcome to listen, reflect, and simply be present. This is not therapy, but a peer-support space rooted in compassion, safety, and respect.
Come as you are. Cameras optional. You are not behind, broken, or failing. You are healing.

The Trauma Response Workshop Series: The Flight Response
**The Trauma Response Workshop Series: *Class Two: The Flight Response***
Trauma responses are involuntary physical, emotional, and cognitive reactions to intense, stressful, or life-threatening events, rooted in survival instincts. These mechanisms help traumatized people manage danger when they are subject to it but can become long-term, ingrained behaviors even when the individual has achieved safety.
People with Complex PTSD often experience automatic, intense, and, at times, inappropriate fight, flight, freeze, fawn, flop/fatigue, fine and flood/faint responses when triggered, as their nervous system perceives danger where none exists. In this 7 part series we will be exploring these trauma responses in depth and what we can do as trauma survivors when these activate and/or present themselves in daily life.
The second trauma response we will discuss is the FLIGHT response. The trauma reaction presents as a an intense, instinctive urge to escape, run away, or avoid a perceived threat or danger. In this course we will discuss:
\- what the flight response entails physically and psychologically
\- what makes one more prone to the flight response when triggered
\- behavioral signs of the flight response
\- when flight manifests as avoidance and procrastination
\- when the flight response becomes maladaptive
\- how to curb the fight response when triggered
\- common misconceptions about the flight response
This course will come with a companion Power Point that will be distributed post class.

Cine: 12 sillas - Cuba
La pelĂcula empieza a las dos de la tarde; no hay anuncios ni trĂĄilers de otras pelĂculas, dura hora y media y despuĂŠs nos tomaremos algo para hablar de lo que nos ha parecido.
This first feature film by Cuba's godfather of cinema, TomĂĄs GutiĂŠrrez Alea, is a cunning adaptation of a comic novel from the early years of the USSR by Ilf and Petrov.
The madcap plot concerns the hunt for family jewels hidden by a wealthy Cuban matriarch before she died, in one of a set of 12 dining chairs which have been sold off individually. Son-in-law HipĂłlito and his former chauffeur Oscar both embark on a desperate adventure to find the âtreasureâ before each other or the state does. They struggle to understand the new Cuban society, its rejection of class status, individual wealth and not to mention the maze of new official state organisations â a mix of real and imagined.
When the movie was made, the revolution in Cuba was only 2 years old, filming had to be paused in April 1961 when the US attacked at Playa GirĂłn, and the impact of the new US blockade was overwhelming. For a newly liberated country in those circumstances to be able to laugh at itself in this joyful way is astonishingly confident. Conventions of silent movies, slapstick, animation and social realism are all evident in this unmissable first comedy of the revolution.

**About the cemetery**
Kensal Green Cemetery opened in 1833 and was inspired by the cemetery of Pere-Lachaises in Paris. It comprises 72 acres of grounds, including two conservation areas, adjoining a canal. This distinctive cemetery has a host of different memorials ranging from large mausoleums housing the rich and famous to many distinctive smaller graves.
Some of the most famous people buried here are:
Charles Babbage (1791-1871), mathematician, computer scientist
George Birbeck (1776-1841), adult education pioneer
Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859), engineer
Marc Isambard Brunel (1769-1849), engineer
Harold Pinter, playwright, director, actor
Steve Peregrin Took (1949-1980), musician, founder of rock group T-Rex
Sir Terence Rattigan (1911-1977), playwright
William Makepeace Thackeray (1811-1863), writer
Anthony Trollope (1815-1882), novelist
There are three royal burials:
Prince Augustus Frederick (son of King George III)
Princess Sophia (daughter of King George III)
Prince George (grandson of King George III)
Freddie Mercury (1946-1991), singer with the rock group Queen and the actress, Ingrid Bergman (1915-1982) were both cremated here.
Going in March, we should see some Spring colour in the trees.
