With lots to see along the way including wild deer and pigs. Starting from Epping station, we’ll follow a scenic trail near the disused rail line through fields, woods, and heritage stations, past the worlds oldest wooden church where we can enter and have a look (845AD) finishing in Ongar (where the central line used to go to) After lunch, the heritage steam/diesel train back to North Weald then herritage bus 339 on the last leg to Epping underground station. Journey out to the heart of West Sussex, for a gathering in the forest. Immerse yourself in nature, with a guided walk amongst the trees on ancient land, spend time around the camp fire, listening to stories of ancient folklore and their relationship to the trees and creatures around you. Anam Cara is a retreat centre set in 10 acres of remote and peaceful country side yet only 15 minute drive from Haslemere train station, a 50 minute ride from Waterloo. There is the option to bring a tent and stay the weekend or rent a tent or cabin from Anam Cara. (GU84SQ)

Join Hannah, Rob and London Wildish Club as we head out into the Lee Valley Regional Park, a 26-mile corridor of waterways, wetlands and open space stretching from the Thames all the way up into Hertfordshire. We'll start and finish at Cheshunt Station, crossing straight into the River Lee Country Park and its lakes, wetlands, locks and big skies. May is a lovely time to do it; hopefully we'll see nesting birds, hawthorn coming into blossom and the reed beds waking up. Along the way we'll stop for 20-30 minutes to have a go at sketching. We'll find a comfortable spot by the water, pick a natural focus point (a reed bed, a lock, a heron if we're lucky) and take a slower, closer look at what's around us before gathering to share and heading on. No artistic experience is needed, and no one will be judging your heron. The point is the looking, not the drawing. This is a slightly longer wander at 10.3 km, but genuinely easy going with barely any elevation. Starting on Snowdon, you’ll traverse the mighty Crib Goch ridge before descending to your campsite for the night. The **Seven Sisters** are a spectacular series of gleaming white chalk cliffs formed at the end of the last Ice Age by glacial meltwater. Erosion has since created an “eighth sister,” and today the cliffs stand as one of England’s most iconic landscapes. We begin in the coastal town of **Seaford**, home to a Napoleonic-era **Martello Tower** built in 1810 as part of a chain of 103 coastal defences against French invasion. From here, the trail climbs onto the cliff tops, where for much of the day we walk high above the sea, treated to endless coastal views and fresh sea air. Our route follows the **South Downs Way**, passing through **Birling Gap** and past the striking **Belle Tout Lighthouse**, famously moved 17 metres inland in 1999 to save it from falling into the sea. The final highlight is **Beachy Head**, a dramatic beauty spot with sheer chalk cliffs dropping into the sea below. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy.
