Join your DTs friends for a relaxed spring afternoon of board games, wine, and great company at one of Loudoun’s favorite wineries. We’ll gather indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather. We’ll have a fire pit set up, along with s’mores and light snacks, so come ready to play, sip, and enjoy some cozy vineyard vibes. Bring your favorite board game to share — or just come ready to join in! ### Wine & Tastings Guests may purchase wine by the glass or bottle throughout the afternoon. For those interested, optional wine tastings are available for $20 per person (six wines, seated and guided). ### Food Fabbioli offers gourmet small plates, cheese and charcuterie, fresh-baked baguettes, chocolates, and other light fare available for purchase. Outside food is welcome on the grounds, so feel free to bring snacks or a picnic to share. (No large coolers or aromatic foods, please.) This is a casual, drop-in style gathering — come when you can, stay as long as you like, and enjoy a laid-back afternoon around the fire with your tribe. Kalero Vineyard is a beautiful 130-acre farm nestled on Short Hill Mountain in Western Loudoun County. Weather permitting, we will be on their great covered patio. If it rains we will be inside the tasting room. We are allowed to bring our own food so bring something to share. We've done this event before and it was interesting and fun — and this time we've booked a private group tasting just for us! Tour this small chocolate factory and then taste a spectrum of flavors of (dark) single origin chocolate, with expert guidance very much like a wine tasting! There's also a small chocolate shop of course :) Cost is $25 per person (payable to me, I've reserved for a private group of 4 people and we can add more as we wish). The location is in Chantilly and not convenient to metro (though there is a bus). I am happy to pick up participants at the East Falls Church (if you're riding from downtown) or West Falls Church (if you want to park) metro stations, and it's about a 20-minute drive from there. It's recommended that you bring a bottle of water to cleanse your palate :) Hope you can join!
