Skill Exchange Dinner: Restart — Thinkers & Makers
Tired of surface-level networking? This is something different.
A small, curated dinner for entrepreneurial and creative people who are either starting something again, or already in the middle of it.
Because starting something new takes courage. But starting again, after doubt, delay, or change, takes even more.
✨ **How it works:**
Each person comes with:
* **One skill you can offer** (something you’re good at or enjoy helping others with)
* **One thing you need help with** (a challenge, idea, or next step)
During the evening, we create space for:
* honest conversations
* idea sharing
* real support
* unexpected collaborations
No pitching. No pretending. Just real people helping each other move forward.
🎯 **Who this is for:**
* People building, creating, or restarting something
* Entrepreneurs, freelancers, creatives
* Those who value depth, honesty, and growth
🎟 **Spots are limited to 6 people.**
Your RSVP is only confirmed after ticket purchase. Food and drinks are not included in ticket. We will share the location after confirmation.
**Ticket:** 10€ (to confirm your seat)

**17:45 - 18:00** **Host & organizers - Welcome and practicalities**
**18:00 - 18:30** **Software Supply Chain Attack Vectors when using Generative AI, by** **Erika Marttinen, Software Engineer, CRACI**
**18:30 - 19:00 Break, networking**
**19:00 - 19:30** **Right-sized Kubernetes Access Control with Conditional Authorization, by Lucas Käldström, Kubernetes contributor, Upbound**
Have you ever struggled writing least-privilege access control policies for Kubernetes? Are you concerned about the wide permissions of installed Helm charts? Do you manage to regularly audit who has access to sensitive resources?
In this talk, Kubernetes contributor Lucas introduces you to open source tools that help you on your defense in depth journey for securing the Kubernetes API surface. They demonstrate how to right-size your RBAC rules semi-automatically, audit who can access sensitive resources, and check whether policy refactors are correct.
This talk is part of a journey to improve Kubernetes access control in core. However, to make this initiative successful, user feedback is needed throughout the process. You’ll learn about the planned Kubernetes Conditional Authorization feature, which will make authoring right-sized policies easier.
**19:30 - 20:00 Break, networking**
**20:00 - 20:30: The LLM Gateway Is an Ingress Controller. Treat It Like One, by Juan Antonio Osorio, Software Engineer, Stacklok**
The AI gateway has quietly become the most valuable credential aggregator in the enterprise. One process holds OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, and Gemini keys for every team. The March 2026 LiteLLM TeamPCP supply-chain compromise showed what that costs: one backdoored PyPI release, every credential in the gateway exposed in minutes.
This talk is about what you do before that lands. Every LLM gateway is an ordered pipeline, and the security of the pipeline is a property of its ordering, not of any individual stage. The worked example is upstream Envoy AI Gateway (CNCF project under the Envoy umbrella); the lens applies to any gateway that fronts LLMs.
**20:30 - 21:00 Networking**
**NOTE:** The event will be live-streamed on the Cloud Native Nordics YouTube.
**NOTE:** Signing up for the event gets you a seat at the onsite event.
**NOTE:** Pictures might be taken during the event and be published to this meetup page. Also there will be a livestream during the event which picks up audio from the space. If you do not want to be included in any pictures, please let the organizers know.

Beginners Ukulele Lesson & Play-A-Long
**14:00 to 15:30 - Beginners Uke Session**
We will take you from zero to playing your first song in around 30 mins, and by the end of our session you will have enough of the basics to join in with our jam session. We have spare ukuleles if you don’t have one of your own.
**15:30 to 17:30 - Jam Session Part 1**
As more experienced players turn up, we will play a range of songs which everyone can join in with.
This is when the sing-a-long / play-a-long really starts. The second part of this session often has a theme around an artists, genre or season. Each song has an instrumental section, and we encourage people to improvise, harmonise or just to play it as they feel it.
**17:30 to 18:00 - Food Break**
Grab something from the menu, chat to your fellow players, meet new people. Look through the song book. Start playing random stuff.
**18:00 to 20:00 - Jam Session Part 2**
We will play some more advanced songs. The last part of the session is requests from the jam group.
Come and join us for a play-a-long jam. We will be based in the cellar bar at Iguana on Mannerheimintie. We keep it simple ... we put the words and chords on laptop. Please bring a tablet if you have one so you can also access the songbook at ukejam.online ... or you can use one of our TV screens we will have dotted around the place.
We will have a limited number of spare ukuleles and guitars. If you don't play anything, you are welcome to come and just hangout, sing if you want to. If you like, pick up a ukulele, and someone will help you play a few simple chords and play along.
If you have your own instrument, it is best to bring it. Also if you have a tablet, you can access the songbook at ukejam.online and then you don't have to stare at the TV screen all night.
Everyone is welcome ... we also have a community WhatsApp group that you can join when you come to the event.
We aim to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Beginners and experienced musicians are equally welcome.

Tango & Milonga: Practice and Social in Dublin
We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize. A “*practica*” is an informal social event for tango dancing where dancers focus on practicing the dance; while a “*practilonga*” combines the relaxed atmosphere of a “*practica*” with the format of a “milonga.” We are doing it all!
***Cost is $10 payable to the Teacher.*** *Cost is for the cost of the venue and covers some snacks.* We have had fun doing this event in the past. Please arrive promptly as lessons begin at 2pm. Don't worry about bringing a partner as there will be others at the event from outside the group that: a) might have a clue and b) won't step on your toes.
The event is BYOB (similar to our Salsa events), so bring your favorite and a wine glass. We will likely find a place for dinner and drinks after the dance.
Freestyle + Karaoke ! ! ! (bring wine)
**Karaoke Night**: Bring your glee club friends. Enjoy a flashback to your choir days. No chorus line. It's all you baby. Sing. Shout. Scream. Lip sync if you need to. But do show up and do have a good time.
**On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\. See you there\.
**Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby. I am told that the Chase parking lot is safe after hours.
**Glasses**: …will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the EMPTY glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please do not make me hunt down your empty glass. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass!
**Food**: You are welcome to bring a snack to share. It is not required. Most people do though. If no one brings anything, there will be nothing.
**Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, it’s still worth mentioning. We don’t have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions.
**After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still haven’t had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee.
Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends.
Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***,

Nurses Night + Freestyle
**Nurses**: Finally, it's Nurses' Appreciation Week and in honor of all of our fine members in the Nursing/Medical professions it is Nurses' Night at the Hilliard Wine Club. Everyone loves Nurses so please come if you are one and join us in celebrating them if you're not one. (Please keep your medical questions to a minimum. You may not get the best health advice after a couple glasses of wine.)
**On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\. See you there\.

Wine Tasting - Newcomers Night
This is "***New Members Night***." If you are one of the many folks on the fence about coming to your first wine tasting with the *Hilliard Wine Club*, this is the night to come. There will be many other new people, so you won't be alone. And the regulars will be there to help make you feel welcome. We're a relaxed and warm group. We hope to see you.
**SIDE NOTE:** New members are welcome to ALL our Friday night wine tastings, but this night is a special overture to those who don't want to feel that they are the only new person in the room. Don't worry. You won't be. And don't hesitate to RSVP to other events.
**OLD MEMBERS NOTE**: Hey Old Members! You're not excluded from this event. We expect to see you there to help make the new members feel welcome.
**Sample 4 different wines** this Friday for $15 (*Cash or Venmo only please*). Glasses are provided. Bring a snack to share. Bring a bottle to share if you care to. See all the details below for the Hilliard Wine Club Wine Tasting. In Person. In Real Life. Actual Wine from glass bottles with corks and everything.
**Wine**: Tastings will be $15 for four samples as always. And you are welcome to bring a bottle of your favorite wine to share with others. Participation in the wine tastings is optional. But since you’re going, I will buy enough wine to cover you. If you bring your own wine and do not participate in the tasting you will only pay $10 to cover the door charge.
**Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby.

Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions.
**Extra Wine**: After everyone has had their samples, we remove the pouring spouts and any remaining wine is poured freely to whomever wants it. I hate having leftover wine.
**Queen of Hearts**: The Queen of Hearts raffle is a fundraiser for the club and a Barnum and Bailey type extravaganza - minus the dancing ponies, clowns, and actual circus. Bring your ***cash*** as the Queen does not accept American Express or other plastic.
**After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still haven’t had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee.

Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***,

Trivia Night + Freestyle
**Self-Proclaimed Trivia Master, Paul, has all the questions AND answers**: All YOU have to do is bring the answers. Easy? Let's find out in the next rendition of Trivia Night.
Let's warm up with the question that I like to ask to establish your knowledge of current events and IQ. Don't be shy. Shout this one out. What happened in April in America that had not happened since 1972 ?
(warm up questions answer is posted at the bottom)
Okay, not bad. I heard that. RSVP and form up into teams of up to 4 people when you show up. Compete for prizes so large we had to park them at the airport. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Dead Last (that one's more of a remedial learning aid, but it will be fun. I promise).
(ps - empty the glasses into the sink, not the trash ... please)

**Answer**: *That's right!* / We sent a rocketship with live astronauts to the moon for a quick lap around our only natural satellite. They didn't land. And they never got out of the capsule... for 10 days! Been there. Done that! (It's like they're replaying all the greatest hits from my childhood.)
Nick @ Night + Fire + Freestyle
**URGENT NOTICE: VENUE AND FORMAT CHANGE -** due to our agreement with Alive614 we are getting bumped from the space this Friday and will instead be meeting at Nick's house. Now our format will be "Nick @ Night + Fire + Freestyle." That means A.) No formal wine tasting, B.) Bring a bottle of wine to share and C.) Wear fire retardant clothing so you don't burst into flames while standing by the bonfire AND D.) braving the risk of being redundant, we will be meeting at Nick's House.
**Door Charge: *$0*.** There is no door charge this night.
**SIDE NOTE:** New members are welcome to ALL our Friday night wine tastings. You are still welcome.
**Wine**: Please do bring a bottle.
**Parking**: Street parking only. This is a residential area.
**Glasses**: …will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass!

**After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, just go home. Call an Uber if needed, but please don't sleep in Nick's back yard. His neighbors are friendly, but let's not push it.
Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends.
