Ladies Trip to The Tulips Field
**Welcome to April!**
**Grab your fancy coats and jackets and come over for a trip to the colourful tulips field in Saint Albans.**
**Expect to see some spectacular fairy tale views of the windmill and the tulips. Aside of just exploring the nature this April, this trip will make for a perfect photographic addition to your instagram.**
**Join a lovely group of ladies, make friends and get out of London for a change.**
**Here is the Itinerary:**
**1. We meet at 11:20 at San Pancras International from where we will take a train to St Albans.**
**2. From St Albanâs we will take a bus - number 602 or 84**
**3. We arrive to the field at 1 pm. Please buy an entrance ticket for 1 pm from this link: https://tulipfields.co.uk/ (if there arenât any tickets left for 1 pm send me a direct message).**
**4. After about 1 to 2 hours in the field we will head back to St Albans for a stroll around the town, a drink and some food. It will be a great opportunity to get to know each other better.**

Womenâs Circle - Bodytalk
**Welcome, wonderful women,**
Our body is our first home, our lifelong companion from the very beginning of life to the very end. And yet, how often do we pause to really listen to her? To understand the subtle signals she sends, the wisdom she carries, and the stories she holds?
This circle\* is an invitation to reconnect with our body, to honour her, and to explore the messages she quietly communicates.
We will begin the space with a **gentle, nourishing somatic yoga**\*\* practice guided by Barbara, a yoga teacher with a deeply soft and intuitive approach. This is about slowly arriving in the body, opening, and sensing from within - all movements can be adapted, and you are very welcome to move in a way that honours your body, including if you are working with physical limitations.
From there, we will move into the circle, into reflection, sharing, and deeper listening.
Through gentle exercises, mindful awareness, and guided reflection, we will tune into the rhythms of our nervous system, begin to notice what our bodies are truly communicating, and reconnect with the intelligence that lives within us.
**What to expect:**

\- Reflection and sharing in a safe\, expansive circle
\- Connection in supportive sisterhood

Wine Not? (Women Only)
Wine Not? is a women-only gathering before the Balancers Saturday social.
Most attendees come solo, so itâs an easy and welcoming place to meet people and settle in before the night gets busier.
London can make meeting new people feel awkward, especially if you're coming alone. This early social creates a comfortable environment where you can chat, laugh, and get to know a few friendly faces first.
Expect a relaxed atmosphere, a few light games, and plenty of time to connect naturally.
At **7.30 pm the main Balancers social begins**, and the room fills as over **150 people usually join the night**.
Wine Not? naturally flows into the rest of the evening, so youâre welcome to stay and enjoy the full experience.
Coming solo is completely normal. Our hosts will be there to help everyone feel comfortable, included, and connected from the start.

Heather's Lesnes Abbey & Crossness Pumping Station walk, moderate, linear
This is a 6.5 mile walk along the Green Chain walk and the Thames. We will visit Lesnes Abbey (cafe, toilets, ruins) and end at Crossness Pumping Station (cafe, toilets, building visit). We will then visit Crossness on their Open Day for approx. 2 hours. We will have a drink stop during the walk & have lunch at Crossness - basic cafe for drinks and cake, not lunch, BYO. The final additional 2 miles back to Abbey Wood station can be walked or take the Routemaster bus from Crossness. If you donât want to visit Crossness, you will have to make your own way (unguided) back to Abbey Wood station.
It is highly recommend pre-booking tickets or buying membership in advance. This will jump the queue and guarantee entry.

After our visit we will meet at approx 4pm when they close and return to Abbey Wood station together on the Routemaster bus or walking. You can make you own way home independently at any time.
Please note that **there is a ÂŁ2 payment required for non-Ramblers members** to help cover our Meetup costs. **Please help the walk leader by bringing the exact change.**
Members of the Ramblers Association are welcome on any of our walks, but we would still encourage you to RSVP on Meetup. This will give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also to keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Ramblers member, you can attend just let the walk leader know you are coming by adding a comment 'Coming as a Rambler'. **What this is**
A relaxed weekly night for drinks, conversation, and meeting other lesbian and bisexual women in real life.
Women usually range from their 20s through to their 60s. Most weeks itâs a genuine mix of new faces and returning women, so you wonât be the only person arriving for the first time.
Most people come on their own. Thatâs normal here, and we make sure you donât feel it. Hosts introduce people, keep things flowing, and make it easy to settle in without pressure.
Thereâs no requirement to drink, talk constantly, or impress anyone. You can arrive quietly, chat a bit, sit back, or leave early. All of that is fine.
If youâre feeling nervous, you wonât be the only one. Many women feel that way before their first event and end up staying longer than they expected.
**Important**
This is a **female-only lesbian space**.
That boundary is clear and upheld at events.
If that doesnât work for you, this wonât be the right event.

Hike Pickerington Ponds
We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can!
As always optional lunch after.
This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).

Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!
We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind.
If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
