Solo travellers: casual hangout in Dublin (4pm)
Solo travellers: casual hangout in Dublin (4pm)
**No pressure, no plan—just new friends** ✨ Whether you’re visiting Dublin for the first time, recently relocated, or simply love connecting with curious people, this weekly meetup is the perfect way to share stories, make friends, and go explore, as a group, the magic that Dublin has to offer 🇮🇪 **What to expect?** • **Casual & hostless**: no formal host, no schedule: just show up, be yourself, meet fellow solo travellers & expats and decide as a group where you feel like going • **Central meeting point**: it is surrounded by cultural landmarks, cafes, and restaurants, making it a convenient and safe starting point. • **Open to everyone**: whether you are a local, an expat or just passing through for a few days, you are welcome to join. (English is the primary language, but feel free to switch of course) **How to talk with strangers?** (and create meaningful connections) To help you get started, I curated a little game of **[ridiculously good questions](https://www.pierrebonvalot.com/theblog?p=285a9711d7df80d5ac25dd4ef8fe5394&pm=c)** you can ask to break the ice, shift the conversation from dull to intriguing and fun, and eventually create meaningful connection quickly. I hope this helps! **The only things you need to do are…** • Leave a message in the comment section to let the others know that you will actually be there (I don’t want you to end up alone there :) • If you can’t make it anymore, no problem! But please update your RSVP to let the others know • Please be gentle and patient with each other. We all want to make good friends here. **Why join?** • Meet open-minded travellers and locals who are keen to connect, learn and have fun together. • Experience Dublin... as a group. • Be part of a global community that celebrates solo travelling and meaningful connections between foreign and locals. **How does it works?** 1\. Arrive at the meeting spot at the scheduled time\. 2\. Look for other joiners—friendly faces and curious explorers\. 3\. Introduce yourself\, connect with others\, and decide as a group where to go\. **When & where?** • Day: every Sunday • Time: 4:00 PM (meetup sometimes displays a different time zone: but it’s always 4pm local time) • Location: the meeting point is in front of the Luke Kelly Statue **Hostless**: I am setting up the event for you all to meet, but I won't be there myself this time :) **Hi my name is Pierre** I created this Meetup group because I want to see more human connection happen in the real world. I feel many of us want this, but don't exactly know how to go about it. I hope this helps a little bit. I also work as a transformational coach: I help people who feel stuck in their life to reconnect with themselves, create real change and ultimately live more fulfilling lives. 🔗 bento.me/pierrebonvalot

Eternity: Why We Want It, and Why We Might Not
Eternity: Why We Want It, and Why We Might Not
“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.” Mark Twain Dear Professional Overthinkers, Here’s a treat for us 🙃 Eternity is a concept we invoke easily and examine rarely. We talk about forever while living in short bursts of attention, deadlines, and finite lives. Is eternity something we genuinely desire—or something we reach for out of fear of ending? This meetup explores whether meaning depends on limits, whether mortality gives life its urgency, and whether an eternal existence would enrich human life or quietly drain it of significance. We’ll ask why eternity comforts us, why it unsettles us, and whether a life without an endpoint would still feel meaningful—or simply exhausting. No conclusions required. Curiosity encouraged.

Whispers of Ireland - A Live Chat Show
Whispers of Ireland - A Live Chat Show
**✨ Step into the strange, the magical, and the wildly entertaining — all in one unforgettable night at The Sugar Club, Dublin! ✨** We’re hosting a chat-show–style event where Irish folklore, psychic insight, and a dash of mischief collide. Expect laughs, goosebumps, weird facts you’ll want to repeat to your friends, and a front-row seat to mysteries usually reserved for misty forests and ancient stone circles. **🎤 Your host will guide the evening with humor, heart, and plenty of curiosity** — weaving stories, insights, and unexpected moments into a one-of-a-kind experience. *** ## 🌿 Special Guest: Pat Noone — Ireland’s Legendary Fairy Whisperer Yes… an *actual* fairy whisperer. From County Galway. Pat has spent his life tuned into the ancient energies of the Irish land — connecting with fairies, reading nature’s rhythms, and working with healing earth energies. He uses copper dowsing, intuition, and old Celtic wisdom to uncover (and unblock!) what lies beneath the surface. He’s compassionate, grounded, and genuinely fascinating… and he has stories you won’t hear anywhere else. *** ## 🔮 Also Joining Us: Gráinne Ní Mheálóid — Tarot Reader Extraordinaire Gráinne has been reading tarot on South William Street since 1999 and brings a warm, funny, deeply insightful presence to every session. Her style is clear, empowering, and refreshingly down-to-earth — tarot for real people with real questions, not fortune-teller clichés. *** ## ⭐ Why You’ll Love This Event Because it’s *not* your typical evening out. This is entertainment with depth — a mix of mythology, intuition, humor, live conversation, psychic insight, folklore, and a sprinkle of “did-that-just-happen?” moments. Perfect if you love: 🌙 Irish culture 🌿 Folklore 🔮 The mystical ✨ Wellness + intuition 📚 Storytelling 🎭 Live entertainment …or you simply want to experience something magical and different in the heart of Dublin. *** **Come curious. Leave enchanted.** And maybe… with a story you can’t quite explain. Want to join us for a night where the veil gets a little thinner? **Click “[Attend](https://tickets.thesugarclub.com/events/thesugarclub/1974309)” and step inside the magic.** Doors open and Drinks available from 3pm.
