28 June: Figurine Painting and Friends-Social
**✨Are you tired of making ‘how are you’ friends? This event is for you!✨**
🎨What better way to build and deepen connections than through a fun activity like **Figurine painting**!
There are many social events but it isn’t easy to feel connected to someone in a large group setting. I am super extroverted yet found myself walking home after a great social feeling more lonely, because of all the superficial connections made. I started Hue&Crew to help people build their next close-friend circle based on age, personality and interest!
🎨**What to Expect**
This isn’t a big mixer event, every event has a limit of 6 people per table and a fishbowl full of conversation starters to help people get started! We move around Melbourne's many beautiful cafes weekly to keep things fresh! Expect:
* A fresh, comfy venue
* A hosted structure so you’re never left awkwardly quiet
* A fishbowl of conversation starters for the introverts
* A relaxed atmosphere where you can genuinely be yourself
* Hand-painted figurines you made yourself to bring home
Each group is curated to feel natural, matched by age, interest and personality
🎨**Notice before you sign up:**
As the events are really small and it might take some time to form a group with similar interests, we will inform you when there is a suitable group for you!
**RSVP now:**

Sunday Brunch: Money, Meaning & Working Differently
A warm, low-pressure Sunday brunch for good humans to meet, connect and have real conversations.
This first gathering will centre around the theme:
## **Money, Meaning & Working Differently**
**REGISTER HERE**: [https://events.humanitix.com/good-humans-good-vibes-sunday-brunch-money-meaning-and-working-differently-june-2026](https://events.humanitix.com/good-humans-good-vibes-sunday-brunch-money-meaning-and-working-differently-june-2026)
We’ll be joined by two wonderful co-hosts who are both building intentional careers, and are both avid fans of the book *We Should All Be Millionaires* by Rachel Rodgers.
Together, we’ll open up a gentle, honest conversation about money, work, wealth, values and sustainability:
* Can good humans want more money?
* What does it mean to build wealth while staying connected to your values?
* Why do so many thoughtful, values-led people feel uncomfortable talking about money?
* How do we build work, careers and businesses that support our lives?
* What changes when more kind, thoughtful and justice-minded people have more resources?
* How do we price, earn, negotiate, grow or make decisions in ways that feel more aligned?
You do not need to have read the book. You do not need to run a business. You do not need to have your money stuff figured out.
Just come as you are.
## **What to expect**
This will be a casual brunch with a little bit of gentle structure.
There will be:
* A short welcome
* A relaxed conversation with our co-hosts
* Space for everyone to meet and chat
* Good humans, good conversations and good vibes
* A warm, friendly environment where you can connect without needing to perform
The aim is simple: to create a space where values-aligned people can meet, share ideas, and leave feeling a little more energised, supported and connected.
## **Registration**
This helps us confirm numbers and cover the cost of running events. As part of our social enterprise model, **50% of ticket proceeds go towards causes that matter**.
Please note: tickets do **not** include food or drinks. You’ll be able to order and pay for your own food and drinks directly at the venue.
#### **Standard - $20**
Choose this option if you can comfortably contribute the standard amount.
#### **Pay-What-You-Can - Any amount you like**
Choose this option if you would like to contribute a different amount.
No explanation needed. Choose the amount that feels right for your circumstances.
#### **Pay It Forward - Optional**
If you have the capacity and would like to contribute a little extra, this helps make future Good Humans, Good Vibes gatherings more accessible and sustainable.
## **A note on the vibe**
This is a connection-first gathering.
You might meet people you could work with, collaborate with, refer to, learn from or cheer on - and that would be lovely. The heart of the event, though, is good conversation, generosity, curiosity and care.
Please come with respect for the room and the people in it. We want this to feel warm, inclusive and easy to be part of.
## **Co-hosts**
The conversations at this first brunch will be gently co-hosted by two wonderful good humans.
###

### **Anya Roslan**
Anya is down-to-earth, generous and full of energy - the kind of person who makes a room feel more alive, more honest and more possible.
She is currently launching **soft pause**, a wellness brand centred on rest, care and more sustainable ways of living and working. Alongside this, Anya works as a fractional growth lead and strategist, helping ambitious teams grow with more clarity and momentum.

### **Sakshi S. Jansen**
Sakshi is warm, funny and wonderfully direct - the person you want at the table when the conversation gets honest, interesting and a little bit cheeky.
She is the founder of **Koala Lab**, an email/newsletter strategy specialist helping founders, experts and creative businesses build stronger relationships with their audiences through better content, email and communication.
***
Together, they bring **humour**, **honesty** and a **refreshingly human** point of view to conversations about **money**, **work**, **ambition**, **rest**, and what it means to build **a life that** actually **feels good to live**.
## **Accessibility and inclusion**
We want this to feel welcoming and accessible.
If there is anything that would help you feel more comfortable attending, please reach out.
You are welcome to come alone.
You are especially welcome if you are introverted, do not know anyone, or are still figuring out what you are building, doing or becoming.
## **Questions?**
Reach out to Lavinia via the Contact host button here or message Lavinia on LinkedIn.
## **Come for the brunch. Stay for the good humans.**
We would love to have you there.

Your host, Jenny, is a passionate queer community facilitator who loves creating spaces where women can relax, be themselves, and build meaningful connections.

Sunday Meditation | Community Building | Connection | Meet New People
**Who We are..... 🤝**
Our journey to bring people together began in January of 2022. The group was started with a simple intention to gather and meet some likeminded people - connecting through the powerful act of meditation and sharing our genuine selves while sitting in a circle that represents equality, harmony and wholeness( *we believe everyone in the circle is a teacher and a student at the same time)*.
And over the last 4 years of consistently coming together, we have fostered a beautiful, loving, dependable community where members from all walks of life have experienced a sacred space to sit in silence together and meditate, share their authentic selves, give presence to others and forge meaningful and long lasting connections.
The Meditations are guided by Sana(co-founder and host), who is a Trained and certified meditation teacher by the Meditation Association of Australia, and has been guiding meditations for 3+ years in corporate and community settings.
✨ **Do you wish to....**
* Experience a simple yet powerful meditation and breathing practice to find calm, relaxation and clarity
* Connect with like-minded people in your local community and foster meaningful connections
* Meet others who are passionate about growing, uplifting themselves, and supporting others

Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, & Creative Writing
Welcome to the Melbourne Sci-Fi & Fantasy Meetup's first gathering for magic realism and creative writing! If you've read or are new to Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Susanna Clarke, please come along. And for writers, this is also a space to talk about the craft of writing (any genre, fiction and non-fiction). I hope to make this a regular monthly or fortnightly event at other locations around Melbourne when the weather is warmer. But it's winter, so we'll have our first meetup at the Mitre Tavern in the CBD. Easy to find, and we don't have to wait outside in the icy wind waiting for tables. Join us for a coffee or glass of wine that stops time, cats with secret names, and good conversation about the books we love. After the event, we can kick on at the Mitre or maybe stroll over to a nearby wine bar or restaurant to continue the socialising.
What to Bring:
Paper, pen, and a story to share. I'll be giving you all some small, fun writing exercises and we'll see where the day takes us.
About the host: I studied creative writing a long time ago, and finally getting back into it (creative writing major, planning post-grad in education). Tired of talking to AI chatbots in online courses, I joined the Melbourne Sci-Fi and Fantasy Meetup this year and was inspired at the last book club social to start this group.

Marketing Monday Networking
Monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners. One specific topic, one to three actions you can run this week.
You can be the best at what you do and still be invisible. If local buyers cannot find you, the phone does not ring.
Marketing Monday Lunch + Learn is a monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners focused on building relationships, local networking, and local marketing. Every kind of local business welcome. No pitch round, no pressure, no upsell.
**This month**
Most local businesses pick one or two places to be visible and call it good. The result is inconsistent calls and a feeling that marketing is not working. We will walk through the three places every local business needs to show up, plus the fourth place most owners ignore that quietly produces the warmest leads.
**What to expect**
Doors open at noon. Order lunch and drinks at the cafe counter or bring your own. You get real conversation with other local owners and a focused marketing lesson. You leave knowing people and with one to three actions to run that week. The room is reserved through 1:30 PM.
**Who this is for**
Any local business owner who wants clearer marketing direction and real local relationships. Service businesses, retail, home services, professional services, online owners building local presence, anyone serious about being part of the Columbus business community.
**Not the right fit if**
You are here to pitch the room or recruit for an MLM.
**Details**
* Second Monday of every month
* 12:00 to 1:30 PM
* Good Cafe Easton, 4400 Easton Commons, Ste 150, Columbus, OH 43219

If you plan to attend, please RSVP yes. If you can’t attend, please change your RSVP to no. This helps anyone who is waitlisted and it allows me to have an accurate count of attendees as our space is quite limited.
Plenty of parking in the lot, in the overflow lot across the street, and on the street.
See you there!

Columbus Arduino Raspberry Pi Enthusiasts (CARPE) (Check Location)
Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration!
This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired.
**New to electronics or curious about tinkering?**
You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building.
While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability.
