Changi Airport to Stadium MRT Station - 20 KM (Sat)
We shall brisk walk from Changi Airport to Stadium MRT Station late afternoon till night time for 2 consecutive days on Saturday and Sunday. For those who like to join us next year April to South Korea - Jeju Island Olle Trail to brisk walk 100 KM in 5 days plus climbing Mount Hallasan 1947m plus City Tour. We need minimum 12 hikers to go, max 16 hikers. In August and November, we can do 3 consecutive days. You may train with us even if you are not going for the trip. Do consider to give yourself a break and build up your stamina, endurance and your health. Interval Walk Training (IWT)โ€”alternating fast-paced walking with slow, recovery-paced walkingโ€”is a highly effective, low-impact workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, boosts metabolism, and strengthens muscles. It is superior to steady walking for lowering blood pressure, improving aerobic capacity, reducing visceral fat, and enhancing insulin sensitivity. **Key Health Benefits of Interval Walk Training (IWT):** * **Improved Cardiovascular Health:** IWT strengthens the heart and enhances blood circulation by raising and lowering the heart rate, similar to a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session. * **Superior Metabolic Control:** It is particularly effective for managing blood sugar and increasing insulin sensitivity, making it ideal for managing or preventing type 2 diabetes. * **Weight Management & Metabolism:** The "afterburn effect" from high-intensity intervals continues to burn calories after the workout ends, aiding in fat loss. * **Increased Aerobic Capacity & Physical Fitness:** Studies indicate that switching paces consistently improves overall stamina and endurance better than continuous walking. * **Muscle & Bone Strengthening:** It strengthens the legs and core, while improving bone density, which is crucial for preventing osteoporosis in older adults. * **Improved Mental Health:** It aids in stress reduction, improves sleep quality, boosts energy, and elevates mood through the release of endorphins. * **Accessible and Sustainable:** The training is low-risk and highly adaptable to various fitness levels, making it popular for improving longevity and mobility in adults over 60. https://www.brownhealth.org/be-well/interval-walking-health-benefits-japanese-walking-method Date: 4 July 2026 (Sat) Registration Time: 4.00 p.m. Start Time: 4.15 p.m. Start point: Changi Airport MRT Station (Green Line) T2 Arrival Hall waiting area near Swensen restaurant End Time: 9.00 p.m. End point: Stadium MRT Station Dinner: No stop for dinner. โœจ Connect with us over a day of fun climbs and an (optional) night of dinner + board games! โœจ ๐Ÿง— What is bouldering? Bouldering is a sub-discipline of rock climbing, that is done without a harness on a lower wall, with safety pads. It involves finding the right sequence to reach the end of a route, very much like a maze or puzzle. The problem-solving, social nature of climbing has been shown to boost self-esteem and confidence, as well as reduce depression and anxiety levels. (read the relevant papers here) What to expect ๐Ÿ‘€ (Note: the event officially starts at 3pm) โ€ผ๏ธ If you're new to climbing, we will run you through an introduction into bouldering. ๐Ÿง˜ 3pm - 3:30pm: Warm up & 5 mins mindfulness (optional) ๐Ÿง— 3:30pm - 7pm: Climb ๐ŸŽฒ 7pm till late: We'll have dinner over card games or go to a board game cafe (see vibes that day) What to bring? Comfortable sports attire (long pants recommended!) Climbing shoes + chalk (if you have) Price list: Passes usually range from 25 - 28 depending on the gym Host's multipass are about 20 Rental shoes cost 5 ๐Ÿ“ Things to note: Please join our telegram chat before coming ([link](https://t.me/+jXJ0Ia_jVMg1ZDQ1)) We vote on the next gym to visit in our tele chat, so stay tuned for updates! Marketing Monday Networking
Monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners. One specific topic, one to three actions you can run this week. You can be the best at what you do and still be invisible. If local buyers cannot find you, the phone does not ring. Marketing Monday Lunch + Learn is a monthly working lunch for Columbus business owners focused on building relationships, local networking, and local marketing. Every kind of local business welcome. No pitch round, no pressure, no upsell. **This month** Most local businesses pick one or two places to be visible and call it good. Order lunch and drinks at the cafe counter or bring your own. You get real conversation with other local owners and a focused marketing lesson. You leave knowing people and with one to three actions to run that week. The room is reserved through 1:30 PM. **Who this is for** Any local business owner who wants clearer marketing direction and real local relationships.
