Architectural Kata #7: AI-Enabled Architecture
*This event is a collaboration with our friends from Software Design Berlin check out their Meetup page [here](https://www.meetup.com/software-design-berlin/) and sign up there!*
\-\-\-
**RSVPS:**
**Please sing up on the event page from Software Design Berlin with [this Link!](https://www.meetup.com/software-design-berlin/events/313519484/)**
**About the evening**
Ready to flex your architectural muscles⌠with a new twist? Join us for our first **AI-Enabled Architectural Kata**, where we'll tackle a real design challenge together, using generative AI as a collaborator in the architectural process. Small teams will work through a complex scenario, but this time each team gets a unique **AI collaboration role** that shapes how they interact with AI during the session. Expect lively debate, creative solutions, plus an honest reflection on where AI helps and where human judgement still reigns supreme.
Join us at **Thoughtworks Event Space** for an engaging evening dedicated to software design and architecture. Whether you're a seasoned architect, an AI-curious developer, or just passionate about software design, this meetup is the perfect platform to share, learn, experiment with new ideas and meet passionate people.
**Event Schedule**
* **18:15** â Doors open for snacks, drinks, and socialization
* **18:45** â Introduction
* **19:00** â **AI-Enabled Architecture Kata**: Small teams' work session
* **20:30** â Presentations by teams
**â What is an Architectural Kata?**
Inspired by the concept of âCode Kata,â Architectural Katas are exercises that allow architects to practice their skills in a real-world scenario. It's about honing our craft in software design through practical, hands-on challenges in small groups.
Read more about Architectural Katas on [Neal Ford](https://nealford.com/katas/about.html)'s website or on the [original Katas site](https://www.architecturalkatas.com/) by Ted Neward.
**What makes this one AI-Enabled?**
Building on the classic Architectural Kata format, this edition adds a new dimension: **AI as a team member**. Each team receives a unique role card that defines how they collaborate with AI during the session.
The goal isn't to see who can prompt the best. It's to explore together how AI changes the way we think about, discuss, and communicate software architecture.
**What to bring**
Please have access to at least one AI tool on your phone or laptop (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar). We'll provide a short prompting cheat sheet for architectural AI collaboration to get you started. No prior experience with AI for architecture work is needed!

Quality Engineering meetup #11
**PLEASE NOTE THE ADDRESS CHANGE! We're now at [w3hub.berlin](https://w3hub.berlin)**
*[Qase](https://qase.io) is presenting the **eleventh** Meetup on Quality Engineering in Berlin.*
*This time, weâre bringing you three deep-dive talks â all designed to challenge the way you think about quality, testing, and collaboration.*
*As always, expect great conversations, snacks, and drinks. See you there!*
**AGENDA**
**1\. Mitesh Patel\, Technical Consultant \- Scientific Instruments @ Altum Solutions: *Food QA: Testing Tasting***
On this fine evening, we shall enjoy some food ⌠and also learn why we enjoy it. Because tasting is really a form of testing for our brains â wetware QA in essence.
But how do we reformulate this wetware testing into those familiar realms of software and hardware testing? It is not as simple as exchanging taste buds for test suites and bites for bytes. Just ask Big Food which spends billions on this same question: How can computers do taste tests like humans?
Guided by the example of an ML/AI-powered scientific instrument for chemical analyses, namely, a spectrometer, this session addresses this question and explores the broader topic of QA in the food industry. Discover how food companies scale testing across scientific software, device hardware, and food/human wetware. So grab a spoon for this insider scoop on QA for food.
**2\. Vitaly Sharovatov\, developer advocate @ Qase: *QA Myths Busting: A Practical Guide to Higher Quality***
Have you ever felt the urge to increase the amount of testing or hire more testers, thinking it would improve product quality? As a tester, have you ever been held âaccountableâ for quality or pressed for time, leaving you feeling helpless? Or perhaps youâve been asked to justify quality assurance initiatives with numbers?
Our industry is filled with myths: from âquality can be measuredâ to âmore testing means higher qualityâ and from âQA slows down workâ to âtesters are responsible for qualityâ. In this talk, I will present the myths I once believed, explain the dangers they pose to both teams and products, and demonstrate how they should be debunked and overcome.
**3\. Asya Isakova\, Co\-Founder @ TECH_Connect: đđ˘đłđŻ đđłđśđ´đľ\, đđŚđŚđą đ đ°đśđł đđ°đŁ**
The job market is wild: itâs hard to get hired, and sometimes even harder to stay hired. In a new role (or a new team), one of the fastest ways to reduce uncertainty and accelerate collaboration is to build trust quickly.
But how do colleagues and managers decide youâre trustworthy? Itâs rarely just about closing Jira tickets or moving cards on a Kanban board. People assess trust through patterns of behavior: what you do, how consistently you do it, and how do you act towards others.
In this talk, youâll learn an evidence-based approach to building trust at work using three practical components: integrity, reliability, and benevolence. Weâll unpack what shapes peopleâs trust judgments (including context, risk, and prior experiences) and translate research into concrete behaviors you can apply immediately: especially in multicultural and cross-functional teams.

Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Hey everyone!
Iâm organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. đ
To ensure that we have both **socialising** AND **working**, we will be using the so called âPomodoroâ technique:
**50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Then repeat! If you get into flow, you're also welcome to skip the breaks.
Itâs an effective way to stay focused - you can read more about it [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique).
Anyone from any background is welcome, whatever project you are working on or whatever is your personal background.
I (the host) speak English and German, so either is fine :-)
ââââââââââââââââââ-
AGENDA:
* **15min Intro**
* Get to know everyone, talk about what you will work on today
* **Pomodoro Session** (3x) - *Each Pomodoro session consists* *of...*
* ...**50min** of uninterrupted âdeep workâ (no talking, no interruptions, no phones)
* ...**10min** of break: share your progress with others, talk about what you are stuck on etc.
* Repeat
* Conclude and celebrate your progress
Share your progress, socialise and get to know others đ
ââââ
We'll be at the Social Hub Berlin (they have a food menu in case you get hungry). The structured part will end at 2:30pm, but you're welcome to stay longer, go for lunch together, or leave earlier. See you there đŠľ
**\*\*We'll reserve the long table. Please update your RSVP in advance if you can't attend!\*\***

Sunday Tech Coffee Meetup
Welcome to Sunday Tech Coffee. This is a **networking** event for those in the tech industry in Berlin.
We are usually inside and to the right. Ask the barista/bartender if you can't find us.
Networking & Language Exchange -đinternationalđť
This is a 3 phase meetup. You can come at any time.
1.) 6:45 -7:00 p.m.: Gathering at the meeting spot (see gmaps link!)
2.) 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court.
3.) 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.: Immerse conversations in the Kerb food court.
đŞ: Reserved tables for the meetup.
**1.) How to the find Quartier 205 Stadtmitte:**
[https://goo.gl/maps/6Fhft3LbPhcEsQrdA](https://goo.gl/maps/6Fhft3LbPhcEsQrdA)
The exact meeting spot can be seen in the photo below!
We meet on the 1st floor where the trash sculpture can be seen. Look for a meetup sign or organizer wearing a black or red lanyard with "staff" written on it.
**2.) Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court**
The best part. This time we'll walk all the way to Checkpoint Charlie, pass the Gropius Bau and end at the former Sony Center where our final destination - the Kerb food court - is located.
**3\. How to find the Kerb food court**
[https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xJTQg9oBoGL67syz7)
Kerb is located at the former Sony Center. The new flagship food court of Potsdamer Platz. Most likely we will be sitting upstairs on the first floor next to the bar (take the stairs to the left).
***Best ways to get there:***
1\. U2 \(subway\):
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk around 7 min to Kerb.
2\. Bus M41 or M85
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk 5 min to Kerb.
*Who is this meetup for:*
1\. Internationals who want to practice German or any other language\.
2\. Germans who want to improve their language skills\.
3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\.
*What you can expect:*
1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\.
2\. A Walk & Talk to break the ice\.
3\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\.
*important:* This event is at the same time and meeting location like the "Asian Languages & Culture Exchange đćĽćŹčŞ, íęľě´, ćąčŻđĽ" one. So I'm basically organizing 2 events at the same time which means that you can expect way more people than on the list.
***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
âA personâs name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.â - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.
Lean Coffee for Managers & Leaders
Join us for an upcoming in-person Lean Coffee meetup. Lean Coffee is a lightly-structured meeting format where the attendees create the agenda.
Bring your management challenges; whether you're managing people, products, processes or beyond, and solve them together with peers from a diverse set of backgrounds.
This event is great for anybody trying to create better ways of working and wants to share with + learn from others trying to do the same.
Shift into Presence with Effortless Mindfulness

We will try one of the most modern & practical yet deeply rooted in ancient Mahamudra tradition approach - the one that allows us to access who we truly are in the midst of daily life.
**Agenda**
* **18:30 â 19:00:** Arrival & Welcome Drinks â
* **19:00 â 19:20:** Introduction to the Effortless Mindfulness approach

Making Moves: Small-Group Coaching for Women in Product

**\-\-\-\-\-\-**
**A Small-group coaching conversations for women in product navigating growth, leadership, and career decisions.**
**March 10 \| 5:30â8:00 PM**
**Rev1 -- NEW SPACE**
**330 Rush Alley #100**
**Parking Options:**
⢠**Rev1 at The Peninsula**

⢠**LAZ Parking Limited** â 375 W. State St.

**What moves are you making?**
A promotion youâre working toward.
A role change youâre considering.
A bigger leadership opportunity.
A conversation that needs to happen.
A decision thatâs been sitting in the back of your mind.
For our Q1 Women in Product Columbus event, weâre creating space to actually work through those moments.
**Making Moves** is an evening of focused, facilitated coaching conversations with experienced mentors from our local product community. This isnât a panel. Itâs not passive networking. Itâs small-group dialogue designed to be thoughtful, practical, and worth your time.
Hereâs how it will work:
⢠Youâll choose a topic that reflects what youâre navigating right now
⢠Youâll join a small coaching circle (5â7 participants)
⢠Each circle is led by a mentor who has lived experience in that area
⢠Weâll run two rounds so you can go deeper or explore a second conversation
### Coaching Topics:
⢠Communicating the Value of Your Work (or Team)
⢠Career Transitions & Whatâs Next
⢠Growing Into Leadership
⢠Staying Relevant as Technology (and AI) Changes
⢠Getting Alignment and Decisions from Leadership
Our goal is simple: you leave with clearer thinking, practical perspective, and at least one next step you feel confident about.
Space in each circle will be limited to keep conversations meaningful.
If this sounds like the kind of room youâve been wanting to be in, weâd love to see you on March 10.

At 11:45am, everyone will be seated, order their own meals, and get to know their new table-mates!
Beginning at noon, we provide the opportunity for all participants to be introduced and welcomed to the group.
Having a good conversation and want to stay longer?
No problem, we have a private room, so stay as long as you like.
We do have a limited amount of space, so RSVP right away and please honor your RSVP! I will keep an eye out and close off the event once we reach capacity.

Pot Luck at the Office!
Inspired by our successful events like "Saturday Mornings @ East Market" and other "Pot Luck in the Park" lunches, this gathering promises to be a blend of fun conversations, language exchange, and cultural insights, all while sharing wonderful foods with each other.
Please bring a dish to share and anything you would like to drink.
We will provide plates, plastic silverware and napkins.
So, come hungry and ready to chat!
