Paris Lit Up open mic (PLU) Every Thursday in English (other languages too – when in Rome, speak French) at the historic home of French Slam poetry, Culture Rapide (103 Rue Julien Lacroix, 75020). They will give you a little wooden knick-knack with the wifi codes and a number that they use to determine the cost based on time spent (it's 3,80 € per hour, paid at the end). ***Now, about Ready-Set-Write! ..*.** Ready Set Write! is a regular meeting of motivated writers who grab a beverage, then shut up and write. ***What it is:*** An opportunity for writers to get together and do short, intense bursts of writing. We write for 45-ish minutes, take a 15 minute break, rinse & repeat. ***What it is NOT:*** neither a forum for critiquing each other's work, nor shameless self-promoting your projects or groups. Lyric writing weekly group practice. A few object writing rounds to start, get our reps in — a favorite from the canon, Write Better Lyrics by P. Pattinson.* Followed by other exercises. I adapt the program depending on who shows up. *Object writing : a noun picked through a random word generator, a 10 min timer to delve into our sensory imagination and free-flow with this prompt. We then take turn sharing.

**Stage “Les bases du roman” à Saint-Denis** **[INSCRIPTION](https://www.ecrireandco.com/stages-roman)** Ce stage d’une journée propose un panorama clair et structuré des grands principes qui régissent l’écriture d’un roman. À travers une approche théorique accessible, il permet d’explorer les éléments-clés qui donnent vie à une fiction longue. Objectif : acquérir une vision d’ensemble des étapes et outils essentiels à la construction d’un roman, afin de mieux comprendre les ressorts narratifs à l’œuvre derrière les histoires. Sessions 2025-2026 : 21/09, 12/10, 16/11, 07/12, 11/01, 08/02, 15/03, 12/04, 31/05, 14/06 Modalités : à l'atelier-jardin à Saint-Denis un dimanche par mois de 9h30 à 16h30 Tarif : 80 € (TTC)

Après un passage au couvent des Carmes, le jeune Le Floch va apprendre le métier de policier sous la houlette de M. de Sartine, le lieutenant général de police de Louis XV, chargé des affaires spéciales. Le Floch va devoir faire très vite ses preuves et apprendre le prix du silence et du secret. Sa première enquête criminelle va le plonger dans le monde interlope de la corruption, du jeu, des intrigues crapuleuses et d'une conspiration contre la vie du roi. Encore un excellent policier historique, dans cette collection Grands Détectives. Fin gourmet, rusé, intelligent, on a dit de ce Le Floch qu'il était une sorte de Maigret du XVIIIe siècle. La comparaison est assez juste. Si l'intrigue est somme toute classique, la reconstitution historique est fascinante : on se retrouve vraiment dans le Paris d'époque et accessoirement, on croise des personnages célèbres comme la marquise de Pompadour." Cette séance s'inscrit dans une thématique choisie par les participants lors du club de lecture du mois dernier et qui est celle du **policier historique**. Vous avez envie de découvrir Jean-François Parot, diplomate et écrivain français ? Alors nous vous donnons rendez-vous dans l'ambiance cosy du Poinçon Paris pour échanger ensemble autour de ce roman, au cours d'un club de lecture. A l’issue de la séance, vous pourrez proposer un livre qui sera soumis au vote des participants, pour déterminer l’ouvrage à lire pour le prochain Club de Lecture de la Plume en Question (Rappel des conditions : 300 pages maximum – format poche disponible)
