Whether you're eager to share your newest creation or want to bask in the ambiance of artistic expression, Gypsy Lounge is your sanctuary. We will be signing up artists day of the event. Just come by 15 minutes before 6 pm, on the evening of the open mic. The first 8 artists will get to sign up. Each performer will have 7 minutes to share their work or perform 2 songs. I'm launching my independently-published, ***Field Journal: Mindfulness in Nature - Europe***, a guided pocket journal for slow walkers, quiet watchers, and anyone who finds peace in the natural world, and I'd love to celebrate it with you! **How the afternoon flows:** 1: Arrive, settle in & mingle Help yourself to a few sweet and savory snacks, bring your own drink (and snacks), and get to know the people around you. No rush. 2: The journal: its story & how to use it We'll explore the journal together — where it came from, what inspired it, and how to make it your own out in nature. 3: Colour, write & doodle Choose a bird or nature colouring page and settle in. I'll share some gentle journaling prompts to write alongside your art — and doodle to your heart's content too. 4: Free time — yours to enjoy Keep creating, chat with others, browse the journals, or simply sit and be. The rest of the afternoon is yours. Colouring pages, pencils, and other materials are provided (except for the journal - this needs to be purchased separately, 14,99€ - I accept contactless card, Bizum or Cash). Així que et convidem a una experiència íntima i totalment original: una versió de concert del gran mestre Giuseppe Verdi, **Rigoletto**, que et farà vibrar a pocs centímetres dels artistes, al cor de la preciosa **Llibreria Byron**. **BYRON és una llibreria-cafè , punt cultural de referència a Barcelona**. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
