This month, we return to the crowd-favourite topic of Agentic Systems & Harnesses! Talks: **"Patterns of Successful Agent Harnesses" - Sam Witteveen** In a talk he previously delivered at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas, Sam will focus on the core patterns and components of successful agents and harnesses, covering patterns from coding agents like Claude Code & Codex through personal agents like OpenClaw & Hermes. These patterns clearly show what is working in building modern agents. **"Local Models & Self-Evolving Harnesses" - Martin Andrews** In his talk, Martin will first explain how a number of the recently announced self-updating harness systems work. Then, in light of the recent turbulence in the world of Foundation Models, he'll talk about Local Models, and how to increase business robustness. **FOOD UPDATE :** Google has told us that **there WILL BE** pizza at the event \-\-\- Talks will start at 7:10pm (entry at 6:45pm) and end at around 9:00pm, at which point attendees can come up to the front for a bit of a chat with each other, and the speakers. Open Lines is a warm and welcoming poetry meet-up for anyone who finds meaning in words whether you write poems, love reading them, or simply enjoy listening. This is where poetry is brought closer to everyday life: into the community, into conversation, and into shared moments of reflection. Participants are invited to bring a poem of their own, a poem by another poet that has moved them, comforted them, challenged them, or give. language to something they could not quite express. At its heart, Open Lines is about connection. No prior experience with poetry is needed. This is not a performance space, but a gentle gathering of voices, where each poem opens a line between one heart and another. Come as you are. Bring a poem, bring a listening ear, or bring only your curiosity.

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 11 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. **SCHEDULE:** 6:45ish - Quick introductions 7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 8:00 - The End **OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. **BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
