Great American State Fair 🇺🇸🎡
Great American State Fair 🇺🇸🎡
Let's go to the Great American State Fair!:)
Build Together: Donuts, Founder Conversations, & Co-Working
Build Together: Donuts, Founder Conversations, & Co-Working
This is a relaxed but intentional Saturday hangout for young entrepreneurs. **Note:** Only 10 spots are available to RSVP on Meetup, but the event capacity is **40 people total**. If the event appears full, please join the waitlist - I will approve additional attendees until we reach the 40-person limit. We'll meet at MLK Library for donuts, conversations with other people who are building, and time to work on our businesses. **Come prepared to talk through a business challenge or something you'd like to improve.** During the meetup, you'll have the opportunity to: * Talk through a business blocker or something you're trying to improve * Get perspectives, ideas, and feedback from other entrepreneurs * Ask questions and brainstorm solutions together * Spend time actually working on your business Whether that's: * Fixing your landing page * Outlining your launch * Clarifying your pricing * Validating a business idea * Building your MVP * Improving your marketing * Or finally taking the next step on something you've been putting off The goal isn't just to leave with new ideas - it's to leave having made real progress. There's no pressure to pitch yourself or have everything figured out. Whether you're just getting started or already running a business, come to ask questions, help others, and build alongside people who are doing the same. **Bring:** * Your laptop * One thing you're ready to work on * An open mind I'll bring the donuts. 🍩 If you're looking for a community where entrepreneurs actually help each other solve problems and build together—not just network—this is for you.

Young Professionals Social Club: Nationals Home Game Socials (20s & 30s)
Young Professionals Social Club: Nationals Home Game Socials (20s & 30s)
Young Professionals Social Club: Nationals Home Game Socials (20s & 30s) Are you in your 20s or 30s looking to expand your social circle, grab a drink, and catch some live baseball without breaking the bank? This is the group for you! We are a vibrant community of local young professionals who meet up for every single Nats home game. Whether you are a die-hard baseball fan or just in it for the social scene, you’ll fit right in. If the Nats are playing at home, we are there! What We Are About Our events focus on high-energy, low-stress environments. We love utilizing standing room only tickets and affordable season passes to keep things budget-friendly, but regular ticket holders are always welcome! Standing room areas (like the outfield bars and concourse decks) give us the freedom to move around, mingle, and actually talk to each other—no being stuck in a single stadium seat all night. Every Home Game: No guessing when the next meetup is. If there is a game at the stadium, we are gathering. Socialize: Meet new friends, network with fellow local professionals, and find your crowd. Eat & Drink: We always kick things off with pre-game drinks or hang out at the stadium's best social spaces. Zero Pressure: You don’t need to be a baseball expert. Come for the game, stay for the conversations. Who Should Join? If you are in your 20s or 30s, live in the area, and want a fun, consistent way to get out after work or on the weekends, hit that "Join" button. Check the schedule, grab your tickets, and we'll see you at the ballpark!

You can sleep in on the Sesquicentennial (observed), we’re shifting to the following Friday. But join the local UX community for a chat and some biscuits to catch up. If you were in CA for Figma Config, tell us all the lines and you can tell me how I can animate an SVG without coding it by hand, and why I’d even want to. Thanks to the team at Nationwide of supporting the group.
Take Control Of Your Life, Freedom From Negative Thoughts & Irrational Emotions
Take Control Of Your Life, Freedom From Negative Thoughts & Irrational Emotions
Feeling down? Sometimes depressed? Can't focus? Negativity & stress? Recent losses? Creativity in career and personal life hindered by mental blocks? Sometimes we never fully recover from traumatic experiences. Whether it was yesterday, last week or a year ago, traumatic experiences - a loss of a loved one, losing a job, a breakup - can leave you scarred. You talk about it and feel a little better, but it never goes away. After you hang up the phone, it's still there; the sadness, the cloud, the over-thinking, the worry, the guilt. You try to focus, but you're blocked. You try to look forward into new experiences, new relationships but a cloud is hanging over you, casting a shadow on what you once considered a bright, cheerful future. What happened to your courage? Your strength of character? You're 'why not' attitude? Whoever said 'time heals' must have had a special time machine, because after weeks, months, years, you're wondering - when exactly does that kick in? Sometimes it seems like drinking or drugs are the way to go. But they wear off, and now the problem is still there with added side effects from the drugs. At this free local Meetup event we will talk about: * What causes grief, anxiety and depression to become chronic. * Is it possible to regain your joy and happiness even after traumatic experiences? * How to break away from negativity and focus on the future * What are the steps to take to get control of your mind and your emotions? Learn about a safe, gentle, do-it-yourself counseling that can be done in the comfort of your own home. Let's explore safe, effective solutions for healing from traumatic experiences. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to the event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center.
