Beaver Dam Workday

The trail system at Beaver Dam is one of the older trails in the Triangle. This trail suffers constant erosion due to the hilly terrain and multiple streams in the area. The trail needs regular maintenance to help maintain drainage so it can reopen quickly after rain events.

**Exact meetup location TBD, may be inside park or may be dirt parking lot off Creedmoor, need to figure out which location will provide easiest access to trail section to be worked on. The Park is providing fee waivers for volunteers if we end up meeting inside park.

• Meet time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM (may stop early if weather is hot/humid)
• Trail work starts at 9:00 am.
• Duration of the workday: No more than 3 hours
• Type of Work: Moving dirt and rocks, shaping features, clearing vines and brush, de-berming, knicks and grade reversals
• Tools: Tools will be provided.
• What to bring: sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, appropriate clothing, and water

Please sign the new 2025 TORC waiver if you have not already signed. Only needs to be done once per calendar year.
