Slow-paced info/history hike in Umstead State Park along the Odd Fellows border

This is a slow-paced hike led by Dr. Jean Spooner, Chair of the Umstead Coalition. Expect to stop often for discussions regarding the history of the Odd Fellows tract and the current status of the quarry fight.

We'll hike along the border of Umstead State Park, cross over Foxcroft Lake, head to Crabtree Creek, and then hike along Crabtree Creek (towards the Company Mill Trail) to beautiful rock outcrops.

Please wear appropriate hiking boots. Hiking poles may also be useful.

This is an out and back hike and will stay on State Park property. This hike goes rain or shine. The total distance is approximately two miles.
