Briar Chapel Trail Workday - March 21st

Hey, it’s your friendly neighborhood Trail Coordinator!
The next BC Trail workday is scheduled for March 21st, 9am at the BC Clubhouse (weather permitting). We’ll have breakfast snacks in the Clubhouse - meet us inside! We will drive to the work site(s) no later than 915am.
What are we doing?
- Replacing a wooden feature, like for like
- More signage (if the ground is not frozen)
- More can be added based on registered attendance
What will TORC bring?
- Shovels, tools, cart(s), materials
- Trail signage for the area + sign installation tool (only 1)
- A map of which signs go where
What should you bring?
- Your favorite building/dirt-work gear
- Gloves, water, appropriate clothing (long pants recommended, close toed shoes a must)
Kid friendly?
Yes, as long as they can follow rules (e.g. dig here, move this there, don’t step in front of a swinging tool). We may use a chainsaw, and if we do it’ll be away from the main work group.
Newbie friendly?
This is newbie friendly!
Post workday ride:
I’m looking for volunteers that are interested in leading one. I cannot due to childcare constraints.
