Beaver Dam Workday
Details
The trail system at Beaver Dam is one of the older trails in the Triangle. This trail suffers constant erosion due to the hilly terrain and multiple streams in the area. The trail needs regular maintenance to help maintain drainage so it can reopen quickly after rain events.
Directions: Meet at the MTB trailhead parking lot
- The park staff will provide volunteers with fee waivers (they charge entrance fees on weekends starting in April). If you plan on coming, please make sure you RSVP and I will contact everyone and email the fee waiver.
- Meet time: 8:45-11:30, we will distribute tools and talk about specific work to be done. We are planning on working on the first 1/2 mile of South Loop, clearing drains, removing dead roots, etc.
