The trail system at Beaver Dam is one of the older trails in the Triangle. This trail suffers constant erosion due to the hilly terrain and multiple streams in the area. The trail needs regular maintenance to help maintain drainage so it can reopen quickly after rain events.

Directions: Meet at the dirt parking lot just off Creedmoor Rd, 0.5 mile before Beaver Dam park entrance.

  • Meet time: 8:30-11:00, we will distribute tools and talk about specific work to be done. We will stop earlier than 11am if it is hot.
  • Duration of the workday: No more than 3 hours
  • Type of Work: Moving dirt and rocks, shaping features, clearing vines and brush, de-berming, knicks and grade reversals
  • Tools: Tools will be provided.
  • What to bring: sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, appropriate clothing, and water

Please sign the new 2026 TORC waiver if you have not already signed. Only needs to be done once per calendar year.
