Carolina North Forest Gravel + Gab
Details
A ride for the gravel curious to the gravel enthusiast. This is an beginner-level, no-drop (no one is left behind) ride from Back Alley Bikes to the gravel roads of Carolina North Forest. Experienced riders are welcome, but we prioritize good vibes and riding comfortably as a group over speed and intensity.
- All riders must sign the 2026 TORC ride waiver before riding. You only need fill it out once per year.
- Distance: 15 miles (route)
- Pace: 10-12 mph and conversational
- Duration: About 2.5 hours
- Meet at 8:45am @ Back Alley Bikes, Wheels rolling at 9am
- Hot days are dangerous! Please come hydrated, bring plenty of water, and tell a ride leader if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, clammy, fatigued, cramps, or nausea.
- Helmets are required
- Other attire: Attire is good, yes, and whatever floats your boat. Some of us ride in boots, some clip in. Dress for the weather/conditions.
- Water bottle/pack, mini-tool, spare tube/tubeless supplies, and pump/CO2 are highly recommended
- No headphones or other distractions
- Optional coffee and pastries after the ride at Even Dough Bakery (subject to change day-of)
