Join us! We are holding our second and final public online (Zoom) dragon boat information session that is open to anyone in the Toronto area (and beyond).

*** THURSDAY, APRIL 30 from 7:30 to 8:30 PM E.S.T.

We have a few spots left on most of our teams.

In particular we have just created another new short-program team as our first short program sold out. The new Water Wizards team trains just 7 Saturdays in May and June and then races Saturday, July 4th in Hamilton. The regular registration fee is $239 (no tax added) which is all inclusive of practices, races, and the use of paddles and life jackets. However, any Meetup members who register will get the early bird fee of $225 (until April 30).

Are you more competitive minded, with or without experience paddling? Look into our Barracudas team who train twice a week in the summer and will reap the rewards of that training in competitions this summer at Toronto Island (June 13-14), Welland (August 15), and Marilyn Bell Park Toronto (Sept 12-13).

We'll answer your questions about the sport, including how accessible the sport is to anyone of any age, gender, fitness level, sports experience, or disability. Dragon boating is a sport truly for anyone with a 40-foot stable boat.

The Rusty Dragons is non-profit and have several community-level teams and one competitive team, all practicing on different days of the week so you can choose the one that fits your schedule. ALL teams accept new paddlers with no prior experience. We focus on making the sport accessible to anyone. Our paddlers range in age from 10 to 80.

Join in and learn a new sport, meet new people, make new friends, get some exercise that is not difficult (everyone paddles at their own level), and get some fresh air while paddling at scenic Outer Harbour between Tommy Thompson Park and Cherry Beach. Teams hit the water in May.

The Zoom meeting will run from 7:30 to 8:30 PM.
