What we’re about

What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a meditative experience in which the client lies comfortably on a mat as a variety of sounds resonate through the space. It is not like a music concert – there are no melodies or rhythms – but long continuous sounds “bathe” the listener in healing waves. Sound baths often feature singing bowls, rain sticks, tuning forks, bells, gongs, and numerous other resonant objects designed to de-stress, remove stagnation, and heal the body and mind.

What is a Harmonic Sound Bath?

A Harmonic Sound Bath uses singing bowls with the addition of electronic tones. These tones are tuned in special mathematical relationships that the human body is naturally designed to respond to. These natural frequencies grow organically out of the singing bowl and bring the listener to a state of sonic purity. The vast majority of music that people hear in modern society is slightly out of tune with the natural harmonies of nature. Harmonic Sound Baths present tunings that are mathematically precise – music the physiology of the ear yearns for. The purity and truth of these sounds wash tension away from the mind and body of the listener leaving one’s mind clear and one’s body at ease.

Harmonic Sound Baths happen in a few locations across Toronto, east and and west end. Watch here for upcoming events!

If you can't make it to one of the Harmonic Sound Bath sessions, we also offer At-Home Harmonic Sound Bath Sessions. You can message us for details about that or email: brianabbottmusik@gmail.com
