Mono Cliffs Kid Friendly Family Hike
Details
Come join Toronto Hiking Moms for a kids and family hike! A 2.6 km out and back hike at the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, located about an hour drive north from Toronto.
We will be hiking The Carriage Trail which is short and has a wooden staircase that lets you climb to a clifftop viewing platform. It is the main access point to four of the park’s seven trails.
Mono Cliffs is a unique place where you’ll be able to walk between the rocky cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, towering 30 feet overhead.
The first part of the hike is a steady incline to the view.
This trail is not stroller friendly.
Please note that you currently require a reservation to visit Mono Cliffs Provincial Park.
You can reserve a day permit at these parks up to five days in advance at the Ontario Parks website. Navigate to “day use” and select the park of your choice. Pay the fee online and you’re good to go.
Mono Cliffs Provincial Park has washrooms at the main parking lot, and there are other restrooms along the trails too.
We will meet at the Mono Cliffs main parking lot:
795000 3rd Line E, Shelburne, ON L0N 1S0

This is a rain or shine hike unless there are thunderstorms. Dress for the weather.
See you at the park.
