What we’re about
This is a book club for anyone who has ever (voluntarily; out of curiosity rather than necessity) picked up a book on a topic related to mathematics, and afterwards felt like discussing it with someone else. This includes a broad variety of readers: from those whose occupation is directly connected to math -- to those with only a casual interest in the subject -- and everyone in between.
Accordingly, our book selections will come from a broad range of math-related literature, including, but not limited to: biographies of remarkable mathematicians, collections of math puzzles and games, histories of this or that mathematical concept, books on math education, the philosophy of mathematics, etc. Other STEM fields may also be included: physics, computer science, statistics and other disciplines that have any kind of connection to mathematics.
We will meet approximately once a month, and our monthly book selections will be decided on by voting.
