Welcome to the Toronto Movies and Social Group (TM&SG)
We’re more than just movies — we’re a vibrant, inclusive, and adventure-loving community! For over 12 years, TM&SG has brought people together to enjoy not only the magic of cinema but also a wide variety of exciting social experiences. From movie nights and scenic walks to trivia nights, dinners, karaoke, cruises, and so much more — there’s always something happening here!

This year, we’re thrilled to share that Mathew, our incredible Founder and Head Organizer, has been named one of Meetup’s Top Organizers — a well-deserved recognition that highlights the passion, creativity, and community spirit that keep this group thriving.

Whether you're single or in a relationship, new to the city or just looking to expand your social circle, you’re welcome here. Our events are designed to foster fun, friendships, and lasting connections in a supportive, laid-back atmosphere. Many of our members return again and again — some after trying other groups — because TM&SG simply feels different... in the best way possible.

🎬 Love Movies? So Do We!
At TM&SG, we celebrate storytelling in all its forms — from the Good, the Bad, to even the delightfully Ugly. We seek out both blockbuster hits and hidden indie gems, curating a variety of films that spark conversation and bring people together. But we don’t stop at the screen — we keep the energy going with countless other social adventures too.

What we Do: We see at least one movie a week and different social actives through out the month.

Who is this group for: Anyone that loves movies or wants to meet other people.

Other Events: Walks, dinner, coffee, single events, potlucks, and much much more.

Age range: 19 to 75

With over 1,000 plus+ meetups events under our belt this is one of the busiest groups in Toronto. We want to build a community of like minded people that want to go out and do things.
This is a group for anyone that LOVES movies, other social events, having fun and meeting new people!
