This is one of our bigger trips — and one of the most unique.

We’re heading to Kingston to visit the iconic Kingston Penitentiary — one of Canada’s most historic and well-known prisons.

Opened in 1835, this former maximum-security prison housed some of the country’s most notorious inmates and operated for over 180 years. Today, it’s one of the most fascinating behind-the-scenes tours you can experience.

Expect:

📖 Stories of inmates and guards
🚶 A guided tour through a piece of Canadian history
And we’ll make a full day of it — with time to explore Kingston, enjoy the waterfront, and grab dinner together.

🚆 TRAVEL PLAN (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

We will be traveling together as a group.

📍 Meet in front of the Fairmont Royal York and I will be wearing my Moose Hat.
(This entrance is facing Front Street and not the side entrance.)
⏰ Meetup Time: 8:15 AM
🚶 We leave at 8:30 AM sharp to walk to the bus terminal
🚌 Bus Departure: 9:00 AM (promptly)
📍 Arrival in Kingston: Approx. 12:00 PM
⚠️ I will only wait until 8:30 AM.

We will not be meeting people in Kingston.

🚶‍♂️ WHAT WE’LL DO

Once we arrive in Kingston, we may:

✔️ Take a short local bus ride (bring at least $4 cash)
✔️ Explore the area briefly
✔️ Head to the penitentiary for our scheduled tour

After the tour:

🌊 Optional walk along the waterfront
🍔 Dinner at Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill
🚌 Return bus: Around 8:00 PM (TBC — I’ll confirm)

This is a structured group trip, not a drop-in event.

✔️ You must have all tickets purchased in advance
✔️ You should be comfortable with a full day of walking and travel
