[Online] The Social Costs of Hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Our program will run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. You can join the meeting starting at 10:45 am for our open social.

Toronto will be one of the cities hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup starting this June. We will be watching and then discussing part of a video about the social costs. Dr. Helen Jefferson Lenskyj selected and will provide an introduction to the topic & video.

Helen is a retired professor of sociology at the University of Toronto, and Oasis participant. She is currently completing her 14th book on sport, titled 'Censorship, Politics and Sport'.
