Please join us for this first session of an afternoon of talks with Pablo Sender and Michele Sender, international speakers and teachers of Theosophy.
Whether you arrive at the study of comparative religion, philosophy, and science from an academic, scientific, or literature-based background, or from a mystical, intuitive, or experiential vantage point, Pablo and Michele can introduce Theosophy in language that speaks to each. They have each presented programs and retreats across India, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas.
🔹Session I — The World of Theosophy: Discovering the Ancient Wisdom (Michele Sender)
Theosophy, from the Greek theosophia, "divine wisdom," names a timeless current of insight that has surfaced in sages and traditions throughout human history. Its modern expression, the Theosophical Society founded in 1875, deliberately took up the thread of the Neoplatonic philosophers. For them, wisdom was not a revelation granted to a chosen few but a light awakened within each sincere seeker. This session traces those roots and offers an overview of the core teachings: a universe that is alive and intelligent, unfolding through great cycles; the sevenfold nature of the cosmos and of the human being; and the soul's long pilgrimage through reincarnation and karma toward the full realization of its divine nature. These ideas are offered not as doctrine but as insights to be tested in one's own life. Join us in exploring the foundations of this ancient yet ever-living vision. Newcomers and seekers of every background are welcome.
Michele Sender has been a member of the Theosophical Society for 20 years. She lived and worked at the national headquarters of the TS in America and is currently part of the community at Krotona Institute of Theosophy, in California. She has a degree in education and has given lectures, classes, and seminars on Theosophy and its practical application in daily life both in the US and abroad. She is the founder of Fohat Productions, a publishing company created to share the living power of Theosophy.
