Main Text: Light of the Soul: Its Science and Effect by Alice Bailey

This third part of our Intro to Theosophy series continues our exploration of the inner life, drawing from Light of the Soul by Alice A. Bailey, a modern commentary on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

While deeply rooted in classical Raja Yoga, this series emphasizes a psychological and experiential approach to spiritual development. Rather than focusing solely on belief, ritual, or theory, we aim to apply these teachings in a practical way, encouraging direct insight, inner harmony, and the conscious development of perception.

Alongside discussion and reflection, the group will explore guided experiential exercises, including perception-based and awareness practices inspired by meditation and remote-viewing principles.
The intention is to:

  • Encourage meaningful engagement with the Eight Limbs of Yoga
  • Help participants observe and refine their inner senses
  • Support greater integration and harmony within one’s being
  • Allow insights to arise through direct experience

This class is suitable for:

  • Students continuing from Parts 1 and 2 of the Intro to Theosophy series
  • Those interested in Raja Yoga, Patanjali, or Alice Bailey
  • Participants seeking a grounded, experiential, and psychologically oriented approach to spiritual study
  • Anyone curious about consciousness, meditation, and the development of perception

No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required—only curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore thoughtfully.
