Join us for a weekend loop through Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park!

Route
Long Lake Access Point → Buzzard Lake (Site 424) → Triangle Lake (Site 530) → Long Lake Access Point

When
Meet at the Long Lake Access Point at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 12.
We'll head home on Sunday. Our final campsite is reserved until 2:00 PM, in accordance with park rules.

Cost
$22.00 per person, plus tax and parking.
Participants are responsible for their own park fees. The reservation includes parking for one vehicle, and we'll split the cost of any additional vehicles among the group.

Portages
This route includes several portages, so please pack accordingly:

  • 340 m
  • 685 m
  • 680 m
  • 990 m
  • 350 m
  • 1,280 m

If you prefer to double-carry, that's completely fine. Just keep in mind that it's bug season, so the quicker we can get across the portages, the happier everyone will be. 😄

Trip Difficulty
Intermediate. Participants should be comfortable paddling for a few hours each day, carrying their own food and gear through multiple portages, and being self-sufficient in a backcountry setting.

Food & Gear
This is a self-supported trip. Participants are responsible for bringing their own food, canoeing equipment, camping gear, and personal supplies for the weekend.

Comment below if you're interested in carpooling, sharing gear, or if you have any questions.

Looking forward to another great weekend on the water!
