Old Town/Chinatown Walking Tour

Discover the history and architecture of Portland's first commercial district, where over 100 years ago ocean-going ships dropped their passengers and goods to the new city. Learn about Old Town's "Blazing Center" which hasn't changed much since the days it was originally filled with brothels, bars and gambling houses.

We'll see some survivors of the "Cast Iron Era" and also swing through Portland's Chinatown.... that isn't really Chinatown anymore. Like many neighborhoods in Portland, this district is changing with the times.

This 2 hour easy walking tour will lead us through Old Town and Chinatown and cover less than 2 miles.

Cost for this narrated tour is $10. You can pay on line in advance or cash at the start of the tour.

Parking downtown is expensive and inconvenient. The Old Town area is served by both Max and bus lines.
