Golden Hour over Santa Clara: Mission Santa Clara Sunset, Old Santa Clara Dinner
Details
We promised Santa Clara, so here we are.
We are going to visit the Mission Santa Clara, on the beautiful Santa Clara University campus, on Friday Sep 4th, before the labor day long weekend. This is the 4th leg of our Golden Hour walks, after Mountain View downtown civic, Stanford Campus architecture, and Sunnyvale bay trail nature.

The golden hour walks is meant to find and visit the hidden local treasures of neighborhood cities, at the magic golden hour, at the end of working week, so you can relax, chat with people, and enjoy the expectation or make plans, for another coming weekend. Only in this case, the coming labor day long weekend.
We all live in our specific physical neighborhood, but often dispersed and isolated from each other social wise. The walk is meant to give people a chance to see your social neighbors, who are active and open to reaching out. It is thus to lit the flames of social neighborhoods across town. So give yourself a chance.
What is even better, if you know of such a spot in your city, and you are willing to share it with your social neighbors, maybe from a town next to you, we are here to help you share your secrets, and pair you up, either lead a walk as co-captains, or as local anchors. Working together with fellow warmed hearted people is social in a different level, a more binding & rewarding experience.
Mission Santa Clara was built on the bank of the Guadalupe river, in the 1700s. And Santa Clara University is a college built around it. Do you now that SCU was the first and oldest college of California? So what we are going to visit is a place of history.
So is the Franklin Square we are going to meet. Santa Clara had a historical downtown but was torn down in the 1960s, what we have around Franklin Square is the old Santa Clara, and is said to be rebuilt in the future.
Here is the plan:
Location: Milyar Coffee, 1098 Monroe St, Santa Clara, CA 95050
5:45 pm Meet
6 pm Heading out
6:15 - 7pm Mission Santa Clara & SCU visit
7:30 pm Franklin Square dinner, optional
Come to share the plans of your long weekend, or find activity partners.
