Alfred Adler's theory
Adler's theory suggests that birth order influences a child's personality and development. He believed that:

  • Firstborns are neurotic, perfectionistic, and conservative
  • Secondborns are competitive attention-grabbers
  • Youngest children are pampered and lazy
