Welcome to the Trail Ready Certified Hiker Program.
Trail Ready Certified Hiker™ is a one-day, high-intensity field certification built on the 10 Pillars of Hiking. This is a structured, hands-on training session designed to build real trail competence, safety awareness, and decision-making skills — not just miles on a trail.
This is a single-day certification session, not a multi-week series. Each session runs approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and delivers a comprehensive, field-based training experience.
What You Learn and Practice:
• The 10 Pillars of Hiking
• Gear readiness and smart packing
• Trail etiquette and responsibility standards
• Situational and environmental awareness
• Communication and teamwork on trail
• Intro navigation and geographical awareness
• Field decision-making fundamentals
• Real-world trail scenarios and response
Certification:
Participants who complete the full training day, follow safety directives, and actively participate in field instruction are eligible to earn Trail Ready Certified Hiker™ certification.
Leadership training is a separate track and not included in the standard certification session.
Schedule and Booking:
Training sessions are offered multiple days per week. To attend, select and RSVP for the specific session day listed in Meetup. Each posted event represents one full certification day.
Cost:
Certification session: $25 per person
Payment is required in advance through trailreadyprogram.com Pay either by zelle, paypal or venmo.
Products and Gear:
Trail Ready Wallet and other Trail Ready gear are optional and sold separately.
Training Locations:
Sessions are conducted at designated training areas. All participants must meet at the official carpool meetup location at Red Rock Hotel & Casino unless otherwise stated in the event listing.

Blue Diamond Loop
Red Rock Casino, 11011 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135, Las Vegas, NV, USEmbark on an exciting route that begins on Shattered Glass, connecting to portions of Landmine Loop and traversing Black Velvet Road all the way to the Late Night Trailhead off Highway 160. From there, we’ll backtrack southeast to the well-known Rubber Ducky Trail, cross the historic Old Spanish Trail, and head back toward the town of Blue Diamond. This route is considered moderately strenuous, relatively flat, and covers approximately 10.5 miles.
HIKE QUICK STATS:
- Trailhead: Wheeler Camp Spring Parking
- Distance: ≈10.5 miles
- Elevation gain: ≈200ft
- Difficulty/pace: Moderately strenuous
- Class: 1
- Exposure: none
- Duration: ≈7 hours (includes driving + eating at Cottonwood Station afterwards)
- No guests, children/minors, canines, or event crashers, please!
GEAR:
- Backpack
- Hiking boots or trail shoes are required
- Trekking poles are optional but very helpful
- 2L of water, sun protection, snacks & electrolytes

We will meet at the Red Rock Hotel, West parking garage, 4th floor, section 4D, near the ramp to form carpools. From here, we'll caravan to the Wheeler Camp Spring Parking lot.WEATHER INFO:
