What we’re about
Adventurers looking for trail buddies, unite! Trail Buddies was founded in 2018 and is a community of outdoor enthusiasts looking to enjoy the trails with other like-minded individuals. Our events appeal to thru-hikers, day-hikers and cyclists and we’re always eager to meet new folks, learn of new adventures and hear those campfire stories. If you’re searching for a fun and active outdoor group, look no further.
Adventure, fun, passion, motivation, perseverance, and community is what we’re all about. We believe the outdoors is therapeutic for the mind, body and soul, and everyone should have an opportunity to benefit from it, so we host a variety of events from beginner to advanced that range from just a few hours to multiple nights in an effort to offer something for everyone. Some of our trips will be family and pet friendly while others will be geared towards pushing our limits for grander, future adventures like the AT, CDT, PCT, and NCT.
With multiple organizers, we’re posting more events than ever, and continuing to increase our time outside. As we set our sights on this year and beyond, we’re excited about all the new adventures out there waiting for us.
Check out our new campsite, and review our membership agreement and camp rules.

Biking - Montour Trail (Experienced) - 60 Miles
Location not specified yetThis will be our last ride of the season so don't miss it! Now that our butts are feeling better from our century ride several weeks ago, we're gonna saddle back up and do a 30 mile out and back on the Montour Trail, from MM 0 to the Tandem Connection (ice cream/bike shop) around MM 30. We’ll stop for ice cream, then turn around and head back. The pace for this ride will be casual and will likely be around 8 – 10 mph.

Hiking - Laurel Highlands (Experienced) - 16 Miles
Laurel Highlands - Ohiopyle, VGC5+J46 Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, Ohiopyle, PA, USThis event will coincide with a camping event at our campground near Mt. Davis, so please be sure to check that out as well if you’d like to get the full Trail Buddies experience and the best we have to offer.
This hike will begin at mile post 0 in Ohiopyle and go to mile post 8, passed the Ohiopyle shelters. As you can see from this printable map, this hike will offer plenty of elevation. Be sure to bring plenty of liquid and snacks to stay hydrated and nourished. You may also want to consider bringing trekking poles, a headlamp (just in case) and a water filter in case you’d like to refill your bladder along the way (since we’ll be crossing plenty of streams).
Our hike starts at 9:00 AM and we’ll meet outside, in front of Wilderness Voyageurs. If you need to contact me, please do so before 8:00 AM, since phone reception in the Ohiopyle valley is poor. This event will either conclude once we return to Ohiopyle after our hike or continue on to our campground if you choose to join us for extended quality tramily time.
