Camping - Trail Buddies 7th Anniversary

Please read this entire event description for important information before signing up. Since this is a private campground, I kindly ask that only members who’ve met me in person register for this event. To help us better manage activities at camp, we have an additional sign up sheet which must be filled out prior to attending.

Why pay for a campsite when you can lodge with us for free? Come surround yourself in nature and enjoy the beautiful vegetation and peaceful sounds of local wildlife at our campground.

Join us as our tramily celebrates seven years and over 4,000 miles of trekking, cycling, and camping together! During this time, many trail names, fireside chats and trail stories were born, so let’s all return to the top of the rock in PA at Trail Buddies HQ to celebrate our seventh year of an active community with friends in 2025.

The itinerary for this event is as follows:

Friday (9/5):

• Arrive at camp anytime after 6:00 PM
• Ingredients will be provided for hot ham and cheese and vegetable/pepperoni pizza mountain pies
• We will of course be offering a bonfire in true Trail Buddies fashion

Saturday (9/6):

• I'll likely go kayaking at Highpoint Lake (which is just moments away from camp). Feel free to join me, or you can go hiking at one of the local trails (Mount Davis, LHHT, Quebec Run), go for a ride on the GAP at nearby trailheads (Fort Hill, Confluence, Meyersdale), or simply hangout at camp by the fire.
• Dinner will be prepared and served (sign up required) once we return in the evening (around 7 PM)
• We will of course be offering a bonfire in true Trail Buddies fashion

Sunday (9/7):

• Breakfast will be served around 9:00 AM (sign up required)
• We will of course be offering a bonfire in true Trail Buddies Fashion

* By signing up, you agree to abide by our camp rules.

* The Crapper and Shiny Hiney will be available for all guests. You may
bring your own towels and soap/shampoo for the shower or you’re welcome to use ours.

* The posted location for this event is Mount Davis, which will get you close to camp (for trip planning purposes). As the event draws near, our website will message registered folks with a pin for camp. If you don’t register on the additional sign up form, you will not receive the pin for camp.
