Kayaking - Highpoint Lake (Beginner)

This event will coincide with a camping event at our campground near Mt. Davis, so be sure to check that out as well if you’d like to get the full Trail Buddies experience and the best we have to offer.

It's crazy to think that I purchased my kayaks to enjoy at camp three years ago and still haven't used them yet, thanks to all the camp projects. To make matters worse, the state has scheduled a complete drawdown of Highpoint Lake next spring that'll last two years while they repair a dam. (Too bad they didn't do that while I was working at camp!) With that being said, there's no better time than now to bust the kayaks out before the state turns this beautiful lake into a marsh. The boat launch area is just moments from camp, so I plan to drop the kayak in to float around and explore the lake for a few hours.
