PADDLE LAKE MAITLAND/BREAKFAST AT 'PEACH VALLEY CAFE'

Cool down in the middle of the summer by paddling on Lake Maitland. We'll launch from Fort Maitland Boat Ramp across from Lake Lily. We'll explore the north shore past shady backyards to the cove at Isle of Sicily. We'll land at many paddlers’ favorite beach on Dog Island. If it's already hot for the day, a dip will feel perfect. Launching again out of the cove, we’ll head back to Fort Maitland Boat Ramp.

Breakfast will be four minutes away at Peach Valley Cafe. Turn left out of the parking lot to head there.

Bring your own paddleboard, kayak or canoe. If you need to rent a kayak, contact James at Peace of Mind Kayak Rentals. His fleet will meet you there at the boat ramp: 407-733-8338. Discuss all kayak details with James. You must rent a kayak the day BEFORE the event so that James can bring one for you.

8:00 AM —Be on the water as close to 8:00 AM as possible. At the latest, we'll shove off at 8:15 AM. If you show up after that, I can't promise you'll find us, but we'll be hugging the left shoreline all the way to the east until we turn back to the right and land at the island that you will pass on your right before that.

10:30 AM —Back to Fort Maitland and on our way to Peach Valley Cafe at 1221 Orlando Ave. If you only want to join us for breakfast do that. The more, the merrier. See you on the water. Cheers!
