About us
The Pack is a community for pet owners in Budapest, expats and locals, dogs and cats and everything else. We meet in parks, on rooftops, in the pet-friendly cafés.
The practical stuff lives here too, the English-speaking vets, the landlords who won't make you hide your cat, the pet food suppliers who stock what your dog actually eats. Budapest is one of the most pet-friendly cities in Europe.
What we do:
🐾 Sunday Morning Pack Walk — weekly, rotating between Margit Island, Városliget, Kopaszi-gát, and the Buda hills. 10:00 AM. Dogs required. Coffee optional but recommended.
☕ Pet-Friendly Café Meetup — monthly. Budapest has more dog-welcoming terraces than you think. We rotate through the best ones. Cat owners welcome — yours doesn't have to come, but you do.
🥾 Monthly Hike — Normafa, Hárs-hegy, Hármashatár-hegy. Two hours, real trail, real conversation. Leashed dogs only.
🦎 Exotic Pet Corner — quarterly meetup for the reptile, bird, and small mammal community. Niche. Essential.
🆕 New Arrival Walk — specifically for people who just moved to Budapest with an animal. The first walk is always the hardest. Come do it with people who remember theirs.
All pets welcome. All languages welcome. Events are in English; locals always included.
