This route follows the Dry Creek side of Hobbs State Park’s Pigeon Roost Trail, using well‑maintained tread that alternates between old logging‑road grades and narrower dirt paths. The loop rolls across gentle ridge tops and dips into shaded hollows with small stream crossings, passing stands of oak, hickory, and shortleaf pine. Along the way, you’ll catch occasional side views toward Beaver Lake and spot sinkholes and other karst features near the trail.
