This month we are grateful to have Cesar Garcia coming into town to talk to our meetup. Cesar first came on our radar three years ago with his fascinating essay, "[A New Zion across the Sea](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DDl3NqelGmvTzTQ856wLLhu7uYenOqWh/view?usp=sharing)," in which he examines Mormon theology and culture as a possible foundation from which to build a charter city. In a more recent essay, Cesar shares his own faith struggles and his efforts to develop a new theology that he calls [the Empyrean](https://surrealmotion.substack.com/p/returning-to-the-empyrean). The MTA has paid for his flight to Utah, and he has graciously offered to take the time to spend a weekend with us and share his views. Don't miss it!

About Cesar:
Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Cesar Garcia is the founder of Oneiric, a company dedicated to crafting the best new stories and developing the talent capable of telling them. He served as the editor for a horror fantasy novel titled Ancient Omens and is currently building a platform to connect creatives with the professionals who can help them jumpstart their careers. Cesar is a self-taught developer with experience working for both startups and multinationals in financial technology and healthcare. He is also deeply passionate about developing a new way of thinking about spirituality, science, and technology. In his free time, Cesar enjoys programming, spending time with his family, exercising, reading science fiction, and writing.
