What we’re about

Email: sarah.klepner@gmail.com We connect people with a shared interest in practical approaches to build sustainable, strong and resilient communities in the face of challenges of climate change and economic crisis. We seek to build relationships between people who wish to work together or independently to achieve these goals, and promote interaction between Transition Town organizations. Generally, our activities take place in central New Jersey, but we welcome all - curious and experienced - to check us out!

Examples of our past activities include:

• Hands-on activities focusing on learning skills for becoming more physically self sufficient including gardening, the making and/or repairing of things by oneself, finding new uses for things instead of throwing them away in the trash.

• Public presentations and films on the social, economic and environmental issues of today.

• Connecting neighbors and resources to improve local economies through timebanking

This group was started in 2012 as "Transition Mullers of Greater Red Bank", became Transition Town Circle in 2015, and, in October 2021, Transition Monmouth (NJ).
