Having a hard time meeting other women since moving here? I know I have.

If you've moved to the Twin Cities from another state and you're looking to build real friendships with other women, this group is for you! Or….if you’ve lived here your whole life and are open to meeting women from other states and welcoming them to your home and showing them what Minnesota has to offer, we welcome you as well.

Moving to a new place—especially somewhere with such a distinct culture, brutal winters, and 'Minnesota Nice' vibes—can feel exciting but also isolating. Many of us left behind our established friend groups, family, or familiar routines, and we're here figuring out how to create new connections as adults.
This is a friendly, low-pressure space created specifically for women who've relocated from out of state. No matter if you arrived last month or years ago, if you're craving meaningful friendships, casual hangouts, and people who understand the transplant experience, you're in the right place. We can't wait to meet you!

Everyone is welcome—no cliques, no pressure to commit to every event. We're all about supporting each other through the ups and downs of settling in. Many of us are navigating similar things: finding our favorite restaurants/breweries/wineries, dealing with the cold, or just wanting someone to text about weekend plans.

About your host: I moved here in October 2024 from San Diego and struggling to make new friends. I’ve joined every woman’s group of interest and have left nearly every single one due to inactivity. There are so many groups out there, but no events posted. This group will focus on events all across both cities, in different suburbs, not downtown. I’ll try to post events near everyone so make sure to answer the question about where you currently reside.
