SaturdayWaterloo Central Railway is a heritage railway offering historic passenger train rides between St Jacobs and Elmire Operated by the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society (SOLRS), a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization. All ticket 2 Hour Tour - An antique tractor and open-air people mover/wagon will take you through some of the region’s most beautiful Mennonite farmland ablaze in Fall Colours. At the end of the tour passengers will immediately board the next train southbound for the ride back to St Jacobs.proceeds go to supporting operations and restoration programs that the volunteers complete at the restoration and maintenance facility in St. Jacobs.
Best to visit St Jacobs BEFORE this tour and downtown St Jacobs AFTER - best to have something to eat at the Market before we depart the train trip.
HOW TO GET THERE
Please arrive by 11:45am - leave yourself lots of time - why not come early and visit the market for a bite to eat. You can park at the St Jacobs Station and walk 5 minutes to the market.
The train station is at 330 Farmers Market Road - St Jacobs Farmers Market Stop just west of St Jacobs Market. It is in the Value Village Plaza - when you drive into the plaza from Farmers Market Road you will see the train station to your left. This is directly across from the Walmart Plaza.
PLEASE NOTE - There are 4 stops for the train in the area. Sometimes your GPS will take you to dowtown St Jacobs on Spring/Cedar Street - that is not the correct stop.
Just make sure you are at the main road where the actual St Jacobs Farmer Market is.

Our August trail ride was a HUGE success. I found an amazing stable - so well run and hospitable and with the most wonderfully cared for horses i have ever experienced!
I have requests for another trail ride from members who could not make this one or want to come back. So here it is - this time you will riding through the FALL COLOURS on this beautiful property. It should also be a very SCENIC drive! About 45 minutes North of Toronto in Georgetown. The drive alone should be spectacular!!

Lots of beginners last month - so if riding has been on your bucket list then definitely come out and give it a try.

VERY IMPORTANT - You must be at the farm 30 minutes before your ride time. We cannot accomodate any latecomers. Give yourself lots of time to get there. This stable is very organized but you must on time! Thank You!
In the space on your E Transfer for notes - please indicate your perferred time for your ride and BBQ item. Times are First come.
GROUP 1 11:00am arrive no later than 10:30am -follow signs for parking and meet me at the Red Barn.
GROUP 2 12:00pm arrive no later than 11:30am - follow signs for parking and meet me at the Red Barn
HORSES REST -1:00pm to 2:00pm WE EAT- ALL GROUPS
GROUP 2 2:00pm arrive no later than 1:30pm or earlier if you are joining us for the BBQ come directly to the Cafe fir 1:00pm
OPTIONAL BBQ - 1:00pm The stable has a cafe and they will be serving up a BBQ just for us - great opportunity to mingle and meet some new friends!
BBQ is $15.00 all in (tax and gratuity) paid on your E Transfer to the Stable
So if you are riding and want the BBQ just send $76.00 + $15.00 BBQ = $91.00
It includes Hamburger or Hot Dog - Chips - Veggies -Pop and I will bring some sweet treats!
You will enjoy beautiful well cared for horses, great trails and qualified guides.
PLEASE NOTE - Horseback Riding has always been one of my most popular events - it is really popular!!! Please do not sign up and then not pay - I guarantee the spaces will SELL OUT FAST -Don't be disappointed!

2. You must wear closed toe shoes - absolutely no sandals.
