#1 SAMARKAND
Samarkand – Crossroad of Cultures” is the official moniker used to describe this city as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Samarkand conjures up images of ancient times and sounds almost mythical. However, this is no fairytale: Archaeological excavations have revealed a history which dates back 3500 years. Conquered by Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan, it was also the sumptuous capital of the Timurid Empire and played an important role in the development of Islamic architecture and the arts. Attractions we'll be exploring include the Registan Square, the Bibi Khanum and Gur Emir Mausoleums, the Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis Complex, the Central Bazaar of Samarkand – Siyobian etc.

#2 BUKHARA
The historic center of Bukhara was recognized by UNESCO as an exemplary medieval city. The earliest architectural monument is the tomb of Ismail Somoni dating back to the 10th century. The ancient historical sites we'll be exploring include the 3rd century B.C Kalon Complex, The Ark Fortress, the Lyabi Khauz Complex & the Reservoir etc.

#3 TASHKENT
Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan and is the largest city in Central Asia. The area of modern Tashkent was already settled in the 5th to 3rd centuries BC. Its name literally translates as “Stone City”.

#4 ALMATY (KAZAKHSTAN)
In Almaty, we'll visit the Panfilov Park, the Zenkov Cathedral – the oldest building of the city, that is entirely wooden, built without any metal nails, the Memorial Complex, Central Moslem Mosque, Independence Square, Arbat Street, the Museum of Musical Instruments, the Medeu Sport Complex, and the Shymbulak Ski Resort.
