A week in the Salzburg Alps
GUIDED ALPINE WALKS, DAY IN SALZBURG, CASTLES, MUSIC, FESTIVALS, FRESH AIR, ALPINE VILLAGES, and so much more....with your hosts Alan and Maria.

Experience beautiful valley and hill walks, and gentle mountain hikes with stunning views, in the Austrian Alps of Salzburgerland, along with its many traditions and customs, with a day and overnight stay in Salzburg included.

Maria and Alan will inform you every evening about the walk the following day. Walks will be approximately 4 hours (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon).

The programme could change according to weather however Alan and Maria will always have something to do and see...

As Chalet Gove have their own minibus, you can get everywhere in your own time....Alan and Maria, the hosts are exceedingly friendly and helpful and will make sure that everyone enjoy themselves...

There will be festivals, music and events beyond the Alpine walking so you will be able to get a real taste of the mountains, villages and rural way of life.

The price includes:
Transport from and to Salzburg airport and all transport throughout your stay, in hosts' own minibus.
Daily guiding and assistance from your hosts.
Overnight stay including breakfast, in a wonderful hotel near the centre of Salzburg - Palace Leopoldskron - used by the Von Trapp family as their home in 'The Sound of Music'.
Afternoon of arrival and most of the following day sightseeing in Salzburg, so you get a chance to see a little of the city before driving into the mountains to the beautiful Chalet for the rest of the week.
Transfer from Salzburg City to Chalet Gove in the Lungau region of Salzburgland.
6 night stay at Chalet Gove to include:
- Breakfast each day.
-3 course evening meal, incl. wine on 5 nights.
- Afternoon home-made cake with tea/coffee each day.
- Unlimited tea/coffee in the Chalet.
- Packed lunch on days when lunch can not be purchased on the walk.
- Daily guided walks with Alan and/or Maria.
- ‘Lungau card’ providing free entry to almost all the tourist attractions in the Lungau region (e.g. Mountain cable car rides, Castles & Museums).

Not included in the price:
Lunchtime food and drinks and evening meal and drinks on 2 evenings.
Museum, palace and other tourist visits in Salzburg.

RETURN FLIGHT £90 with Wizz air departing London at 14.30 PM and from Bourgas to London at 13:20, excellent timings.

Sparsely populated sandy beaches to the far south and north, the bird-filled lakes around Burgas, and picturesque ancient towns such as Nesebar and Sozopol are rewarding destinations. The 'maritime capital' of Varna and its seaside rival, Burgas, are two of Bulgaria's most vibrant cities. Both are famous for summer festivals and nightlife as well as many museums and galleries.

Location of our beachfront apart hotel/villa: Chernomorets is situated in a beautiful bay between Bourgas and Sozopol (9km) offers convenient access to either town for entertainment and sightseeing.

A Short drive from our accommodation is Sozopol (https://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/best-of-europe/european-best-destinations-2017/)(Bulgarian: Созопол, Greek: Σωζόπολις Sozopolis) an ancient seaside town located 35 km south of Burgas on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Today it is one of the major seaside resorts in the country, known for the Apollonia art and film festival (which takes place in early September) that is named after one of the town's ancient names.

Visitors from around the world come to enjoy the weather, sandy beaches, history and culture, local cuisine (Balkan, Mediterranean), and atmosphere of the colourful resort.

We will visit The Castle in Love with the Wind (https://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/top/best-castles-in-europe/), in 2016 the castle won the first prize of the international competition "A’ Design Awards 2016” in the category: "A Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design“. We will spend a day out there.

Accommodation:

Just a 2-minute walk from the beach, our self-catered studios are a great choice for a relaxed seaside break. Built in 2015, the place is clean, modern, and air-conditioned, with free WiFi included. There’s a pool bar right on site, so you’ll have the basics covered without going far.

All accommodation units have a balcony with a sea view. Each unit contains a seating area and a functional kitchenette, as well as a private bathroom with a shower. A swimming pool is available for your leisure time.
