Loving Europe and its citizens: how to best travel this summer?

With borders slowly opening up, you can start dreaming of getting out.
But whereto and how? Will you travel as before?

In anticipation of ‘Europe opening’, I asked myself this question:
“Where could I have the highest positive impact on the people and communities hosting me? Which part of Europe should I go this summer and with whom should I stay?” Yeah, I know, Mr. Savior of the World…

But honestly, for a few million people working in tourism these coming months is not about making big bucks, it is about survival, more than ever. And it may last a while... So, does this change your perspective of how you want to travel? And if so, what kind of travel formula would you advise?

Do you want to book a campsite, B&B or (all-in) hotel? You are supporting the owners, but also the employees. Still, is this as good as it can get? What else? Airbnb? This is mostly just about the financial transaction and many hosts do not need the cash. Couchsurfing, then again, is all about the human connection, but mostly you eat their pasta...

So, how do you want to travel this summer?
