Welcome to Traveling Together, the meetup group where you can explore the world, make local friends, and enjoy new adventures together. Whether you desire international getaways, crave immersing in different cultures, or simply seek travel companions, this group is for you.
Hi! My name is Christie, and I'm a travel planner. My favorite thing to do is travel the world with others!
A little bit about me...
I'm in my late 40s, married, no kids, but 2 cute poodle mixes. My husband, Chris, and I moved from Southern California to Gainesville, Georgia in 2022 so we could buy a larger house that both of our moms could move into with us. So it's four of us here starting our new adventure.
How I am picturing this group...
Once we get enough critical mass in the group, we'll start with some hang-outs or Zoom chats to get to know each other a bit. Chris and I travel a few times a year and would love to make friends with others who want to join us sometimes! I also plan group trips for others who are open to inviting others. Single or coupled, kids or no kids - it doesn't matter.
Our group trips will typically be priced "mid-range" - not bare-bones budget trips, but not crazy expensive luxury trips either. When we do cruises, which are super convenient for groups, I will give options at various price-points.

I'm so excited about this group cruise on Princess. So far there are 16 of us.
We'll start with an overnight to Barcelona on Sept 18-19 of 2025 ready for departure on September 20, 2025. The 7-night cruise on Sun Princess goes to some amazing ports:
- Barcelona, Spain (starting location)
- Gibraltar (UK)
- Marseille (Provence), France
- Genoa, Italy
- Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy
- Naples, Italy (for Capri, Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast)
My husband and I will be heading to Barcelona a bit early to explore, so please let me know if you'd like to join us for any part of our trip. After exploring the Napoli/Amalfi coasts, we will be taking a train up to Rome for an extended vacation.
