Underwater Gardens of Eden | Dimaniyat Archipelago, Oman

Details
Dimaniyat Islands are a little known archipelago located 16 kms offshore Oman, in the neighborhood of Barka city. Those 20 limestone sandy islands hold truly breathtaking secrets underwater. The coral formations are homes to endless species, snorkelling there feels like in aquarium. Its pretty much impossible to not to spot turtles, dolphins, eels, and any other kind of coral-younameit-fish.

The difference to another spots in the area comes with a fact it is a protected natural reserve and the extensive flora and fauna comes in a bulk. In the other words, if you ve seen many other snorkelling spots, this one is still going to surprise you.
The plan is to make it easy and relaxing weekend over there, leave Dubai after work on Thursday, make a base in a beach resort nearby the islands. On Friday morning we will hire a boat to take us to Eastern Dimaniyat, the most remote one, where we'll visit 3 of the most interesting snorkelling spots, spend rest of a day on a sandy beach and relax.
